I didn't mind White Clouds in my first playthrough but it definitely was a slog in subsequent playthroughs. It is what it is though, VNs often have long common routes because that's just how it is.

I enjoyed the game and played 3 routes (everything except Silver Snow). Between building up units, good world building and less cringe, it's my favorite in the series. But playing the musou spin-off, I really appreciated the earlier path split. I'm guessing it's a lesson learned if they decide to do another 3H type FE.

So far Hard seems quite decent as a difficulty and it feels less bloated then 3h w content. There are so many chars and retainers though, characters are oke so far but not great.

Gameplay however feels very good and im looking forward to tryharding my maddening run. Map design seems cool and no same turn reinforcements is great.

Anyone who plays this game while others in the house can see the tv lmao. I don't care about their character, why do the female war generals have to be 80% skin and 20% armor though that's just dumb.

I've just run her straight Dragon Lord with Tiki / Starsphere. She's not as busted as Byleth but I think Byleth is one of the most busted protags in the series and there have been many busted protags, hah. I also know there's someone who cleared the entire game on Madness with just Sword/Dodge Alear. Her strength is that she gets all defensive stats (speed + def + mres) at a good rate while also getting sufficient firepower, so I've heard without DLC the main thing she struggles with is strength. You could definitely change her into a different class to compensate for that strength. The main thing for me with characters like Alear is that while it'd be nice if they could also wipe everything out ala Byleth, at the very least I'm able to just stick Alear in one direction and tank a ridiculous number of enemies to, at the very least, buy time while the rest of the army clears out one side.

Yeah she tanks alright but in terms of dmg and even speed its not enough to double (but enough to not get doubled generally)

Panette is my carry right now (granted on hard). Her as warrior is just absurd.

Damage dealere and healing is set (dual flying healere / casters is busted) but tank wise I dont know, just got Goldmary who can tank a bit I think.

Pannettone is broken as hell, hahah.

With regards to tanking, it's mostly about the emblems, I think. There are actually too many tanking emblems, but what I use at the moment are Kagetsu/Leif (Brave Hero Axe/Sword) and Goldmarie/Ike (Brave Hero Sword/Spear) along with Alear/Tiki as my three physical front-liners. I also have Chloe/Lucina (Griffin), Yunaca/Edelgard (Thief), and Marin/Roy (Wolf Knight) as my dodge front liners though Yunaca obviously fares better inside bushes.

I'm finding without DLC alear struggles but with it Alear prob best unit in the game?
Pannette is great, Yunaka, Kagetsu, Merrin and Fliers are all solid

I’m having some issues with music in this game, mainly that.. there is none? All sound effects, dialog etc are working fine but there is no music on either the maps or the somniel. Game is completely silent when i’m not interacting with it.
Looked all over settings but i can only find music volume (which is not on 0 lol), no setting to turn music off/on.
Anyone else had this issue?
When I go to the jukebox on Somniel it says “Playing: none” indicating that there is no music playing at all. If i choose one of the three tracks i’ve unlocked, nothing happens.

Will I lose my save file if I uninstall and redownload?
Will try some stuff tomorrow. I’m now wondering if I did have music at the start and it has stopped working, or if I have been playing without music for 12 hours but somehow didn’t notice the first 11 xd

E: works fine after a reboot and playing handheld. Will try again on dock tomorrow

It's hard to settle on a team in this one. The game just keeps adding 3 solid characters/chapter to my roster lol.
Just kicked both Brodia princes out while thinking they were amazing and using a master seal on them 3 chapters ago.
But since then I've received Panetta, Kagetsu, Ivy, Merrin, Pandreo, ...

As for Alear, he's amazing for me, Dodging most incoming attacks while doubling most enemies with good damage. I play on Normal though, most units are amazing.

Game finally shipped in for me. Died on the third map because the UI is really convoluted.

This is how doubles always look to me - if you're getting hit by something big you're either being slapped by weapon triangle/vulnerabilities or being crit.

... yes? And it will kill without taking any damage barring a miss. I'm sure I can find screenshots somewhere in my stream of where you'll do a double but you don't attack twice before the enemy (primarily due to Lynn), so you'll attack, get attacked, then attack again... and it shows that on the interface. If anything this display has been more reliable than like 3h because 3h didn't account for battalion effects.
