It's just sad sticking him next to a unit and seeing 80% hit and getting doubled back @_@. You do get enough money to chug speed tonics at least. Camila is just a lot easier to work around and I like using her more. She can kill almost any thing in one round the chapter you can buy a bolt axe and it stays like that for the rest of the game. Skill I've found to be less of a problem, not only because of his passive, but also because there's less competition for the Secret Books, so I can usually afford to give him 1-2 of them. The kind of enemies where everyone else has shaky hit rates are also the ones where he's most useful for providing Heartseeker. Odin's bases are like Mozume bad except he starts with a tome, and I've ditched him for Nyx every time so far as she just has better bases to nuke things by the time she's available. The easiest way I've found is to early-promote Elise and use Odin as pair-up fodder to build the support. Elise is actually a pretty good candidate for early promotion since she usually caps her good stats anyway, and staff XP starts to get kind of grindy in the level 15-20 range anyway, so she usually keeps growing better if you just promote her. You don't really miss the last 3-5 levels cuz those are basically just hoping for low % growths on her bad stats with her good stats capped regardless.

Missing the second secret book chapter 12 kind of hurts if you want Leo to be good. I just skipped Ryouma because I didn't want to deal with the DV this time for 2 skill, but it's probably the way to go.

I see your argument, but let me offer a counter argument: + Show Spoiler + For me, going back to Nohr makes a ton of sense. You've spent most of your life there so all of the people you know and care about are in Nohr. And like sure you go to Hoshido to meet some nice people and meet your biological siblings, but just because they're your biological siblings doesn't mean that you should have a deeper, more meaningful bond with them than your foster siblings. I also feel that going back to Hoshido is basically a grand act of betrayal. But then you might be like, "Oh but you glossed over Nohr's actions". And here I admit that Nohr's actions alone could provide a reasonable argument for picking Hoshido. That being said, I still think that there would still be motivation to go back to Nohr. Not to mention how naive the Avatar is, so they would think that if they went to Nohr they would have a legitimate chance to stop the war. I realize my last point is flimsy, but I a address it regardless.

Was fun though. The ending was good and I had to laugh at the part + Show Spoiler + where you smash into Camilla's chest and fall over. As if she wasn't fan service enough =P

Mine was level 24 I think so I was able to use her a bit offensively.

This is the perfect place for me to grind Azura though, so I'm gonna clear as much as I can before I take the boss down...its just kind of irritating that the replicate can't use dance

The reason is that if Kamui was in a flying class, you could carry the 2 Azuras over to each other and infinite dance chain if both could dance. The fact that you can fly between the two halves already seems like a huge oversight though. The LTC strat is to reclass Gunther to Wyvern Lord and fly the real Corrin over to kill the boss in like 2 turns. Is that just particular to this thread, or does the game require this amount of deep analysis to enjoy? Not at all. Birthright especially not, and Conquest no more than any other FE game. Birthright lets you do all the fun experimental stuff even on Lunatic because even Lunatic BR is not that hard.

Note that some of the people here who are doing the theory crafting are playing on lunatic, so they really need to optimize their runs. So I'd say that it's particular to the thread, but I promise you that you do not need a deep amount of analysis to enjoy this game. Fire Emblem is one of those great games where you can just play the game at surface value and love it, but if you really want to get into it you absolutely can! Also keep in mind that if you have questions, feel free to ask them here. I think I speak for most of the posters when I say that we're happy to answer questions! EDIT: Speaking of Questions... So I just got Shura and I'm wondering who I should use for my final team. So far I have 13 candidates, but I want to get it down to 12 people. Here's who I got: + Show Spoiler + Avatar Kaze Camilla Elise Xander Leo Arthur EFFIE! Percy Ignatius Azura Silas Shura Do you guys have any recommendations?

If you get other kids, this changes a bit because you can start pairing kids with each other. For example if you get Nina, you can replace Shura with her, pair her with Ignatius, and find someone else to drop.

I was pairing Ignatius up with Percy and having some decent success with that, but I was thinking of dropping Ignatius in favor of Shura as well. Also I'm supposed to feed all my speedwings to Xander right?

And yes, Xander is priority #1 with Speedwings.

Though this still doesn't rule out the possibility of getting Nina anyway and using her over Shura. And yes, Xander is priority #1 with Speedwings. Dang Yangers, you're making this tough for me. I have all of the child paralogues available, so I could get Nina if I wanted to. I could also make Niles work for me as well if I wanted to. If I used 14 people then I wouldn't have problems, but I really want to keep my party size to about 12. Percy and Ignatius support is pretty decent, the defense bonuses are gross. I guess hypothetically generals with javelins could deal with Ninjas right? They'd just have so much defense that they could tank non-poison damage. I might just go 14 character party to save you guys (and me) some headache of me asking all these questions haha.

If you can't make room for a good pair-up for Leo, you probably have to cut him. Not having Felicia makes getting his speed up to par way harder, since she gives him +5 Spd for S-rank. You can make do with Bolt Axe Camilla, which is more what chocorush advocates, but as we've made clear, the two of us have different strategies in how we approach using Camilla (which is pretty telling of how powerful she is in the first place).

Who are good pair ups for Leo? Or rather, what pair ups give him speed? I'm hesitant to drop Leo because he's pretty good at dealing with Mages. Mind you Kaze is as well so I might be able to drop Leo. I'm not sure though because I don't have many other good mage killers in my party. Arthur can do okay in a pinch because he has so much HP. Oh and I'm pairing up Felicia with Xander so Xander is going to make speedy Gonzales seem like regular Gonzales.
