Basically he makes an okay Cav or Mage, but nothing exceptional. "Best unit in the game" is definitely pushing it because Gaiden promo mechanics limit the benefits of his growth spread. EDIT: He's also a decent archer since his growths complement the archer line's abysmal base speed, but IDK I don't really feel like you need the extra archer. | ||

The kid basically solo'd chapter 4 with no effort for me. Also managed to pull lukas and alm in heroes, neither seems that great | ||

I'd say it makes a pretty big difference, since double-hitting requires having 5 more speed than your opponent and that will significantly alter how a duel between two characters plays out. For example, with those numbers and not looking at abilities, Lucina will deal 44 damage to him for each 24 that he deals (I think? someone can double check), assuming they both have a weapon that gives +16. This is because of the speed difference. Throw that +1 attack seal on Lucina and Alm is toast. | ||

I suggest finding a good skill inhertiance build and going for it,im free to play as well so i think the best way is to stay away from inherting specials as they tend to be very expensive SP wise | ||

My core of Nowi/Julia/Sword User (Marth, Selena)/Bonus Hero has been putting me in the 4k+ range for a while now. I think a large part of this is because I gave Nowi Bowbreaker, which means any time I run into Takumi or anyone, it's basically a 4v3. Between that and the fact that Julia attacking any melee character not named Hector puts them in kill range for Marth/Selena/Nowi, there aren't too many lineups I've run into where I feel like I just had no path to victory. Green mages are scary but they're also squishy. And Hector is too slow to get to the fight before he's the last one standing, at which point Sword User can let him attack until he dies. I'm also working on farming SP and merit on my core units. Nowi has glimmer now, but honestly, I'm a little bit underwhelmed with how much damage it deals, like it doesn't decide too many fights that weren't already decided. Trying to work out if there's anything to do with Lyn that makes her really scary. But I'm mostly waiting for new stuff to do other than just hit training tower level 10 and spending my arena swords. | ||

Not yet. I've just been too busy lately, so I figured I might as well wait for everyone else to get it to take a crack at it. And Gaiden has never really compelled me to go out and play it, so I haven't been particularly excited for this one. | ||
