I would go so far as to say this might actually be the best iteration of the support mechanic in the series. EDIT: Famitsu review out for Echoes. Scored 1 point higher than Awakening/Fates. Not that it means anything lol--I don't put much stock in Famitsu's opinion of FE games when Genealogy and Radiant Dawn are the 2 lowest-scoring titles since the SNES era. | ||

Another thing they did to flesh out the story was have these memory fragments. In forts/castles and some mila shrines you will notice this sparkling patches, if you pick them up, you can go to world map, open mila gear and view memory. There's of course the big obvious one you get after Alm completes chapter 4, as well as a few other random ones. | ||

+ Show Spoiler + Although Faye->Alm being an "ignorable" crit evade support is a kind of fitting, if somewhat sad, piece of gameplay/story integration. Especially in contrast with the rather...unique support bonuses Faye gets in return. | ||

I'm personally in the camp of people who think Faye was made to be kind of a bitch and intentionally unlikeable as a foil to the other characters in Alm's party. I think she works well as a foil to Clair, who gets a lot more interesting development in SoV than in OG Gaiden. | ||

I have a rough understanding of what's going on in terms on Faye's Alm support and what not, but'll be nice to see it all in English. | ||

Also having no duplicates means either u have to use them straight away as you get them or you can only have one of them per hero at any time with it being transferable I just got the first one from todays quests. You can equip them on a hero then switch them to another. Just can only have it equipped on one hero. | ||

In that vein I had my first deathless run for 4726 which felt pretty good. I'm still running Cordelia with Death Blow & Drag back + Hinoka with Draw back as the crux of my team and using a Julia as ranged support. Last spot is just arena bonus time (Palla currently). Draw back and Drag back are very powerful arena abilities, highly recommend fitting them in your team where it makes sense. | ||
