I'm really happy for skaven fun times but I was hopeing that they'd save Skaven for game three and the Egyptian super necros.

Bretonnia is some weird fucked up medieval France mashed up with arthurian legends, Estalia and Tilea are Italy and Spain, Sylvannia is Romania and Kislev is kievan russia. So it covers more or less our own old World. England would be high elves even if their real equivalent would in fact be Atlantis.

I thought part 3 will be about chaos so Chaos wastes made more sense? Part 2 is North America (Dark Elves), South America (Lizardman), Africa (Khemri and assorted other minor nations) and Atlantis (High Elves) Asia isn't really fleshed out in Warhammer lore, There is Chaos Dwarfs and Ogres in central Asia but thats about it, we know Cathey is to the east but there is no real background on them.

+ Show Spoiler + ![]() That is the campaign map for TW:W 2. Note the Land of the dead, great desert and shifting sands in the south-east continent (africa) Those are Khemri lands, so I would say it is highly likely they will be added as DLC.

Oh well, they can also milk with DLCs for the unplayable factions anyways, like Estalia with the huge pikes :D

I've ran into composition so stupid they were uber underdogs against 3 times cheaper armies. I've noticed that the ai also loves to sepukku its whole cavalry on heavily defended flanks before the main engagement starts. Stuff like 3 boar boys charging two demigryphs and a halleberd and other kamikaze attacks like that. I guess it's still really bloody difficult to make a strategy game ai that doesn't play like an absolute retard. Are you telling me 8 Grudgethrowers isn't a viable army?

-whats the difficulty setting difference? I heard that on very hard mode AI's units will generally be stronger than yours. Not a big fan of handicaps like that. -Am I right in assuming the right approach to a campaign is first confederate and conquer until you have like 4 provinces while focusing on growth and income buildings, all on one army, and save teching up until your region is stable? -When do you start adding armies and how many should you have?

That really depends what race you play. Also, in harder difficulty, you won't be able to confederate easily early on. If you play, say, the Empire, you need very technologically advanced armies very quickly (because their base units suck really badly) and I recommend turtling a bit early on with 1-2 provinces. If you play greenskins, you can make obscenely cheap stacks that can actually pillage every round nearly what their cost, and that won't actually really cost you anything. As long as you have a place to ravage, you can essentially have free stacks relatively early. That being said, the fun of the game comes from the immense flexibility it offers. Read a thread somewhere by a guy playing the crooked moon who resettled immediately to the karaks bordering the chaos wastes. So really, everything is possible.

No, you need to own the first game and the DLC from the first game to use those factions on the grand campaign map.

Its only if you also own TW:WH 1 that you can combine everything into a joined grand campaign.
