For the human, I'd probably give the nod to Empire due to the flexibility of their roster and strength of the economy. But in reality, you can roll the map with any faction.

Worst factions are Chaos and especially Dwarves. Dwarves have gigantic problems dealing with mass, in particular chariots. In fact simply don't have a good answer to chariots and cavalry. Last patch drastically nerfed raise the dead, so it might be that vampire won't be able to shut down skirmishers in the same obscene way, but also regrowth and earth blood which were huge for empire and wood elves. I don't know how the game is still balanced either, but it kind of is. There is so much rock paper cissor that any faction can cut to pieces a specific build with a good pick and a good general. The only problem i have is that if you get hard countered, a perfectly viable army can be basically useless and no amount of micro can save the battle. And it's reaaaaally hard to make an army that absolutely can't be hard countered. So some battle are pretty dull because you know it was anyway game over the moment you presssed "start".

Can probably take to many hits and close the distance to fast. As with all skirmishers, it all comes down on how you defend them. The computer is rubbish at targetting them aggressively, but in MP, you probably need halbardiers and other anti large defensive units to make sure they don't get clubbed..

Basically this, but the AI isn't bad at getting units into your back line anymore. I think CA gave them some tactical AI buffs in addition to a much improved army building. I'm not seeing stacks of shit troops late game anymore. I even see empire factions building tanks and demigryphs.

AI armies often make absolutely 0 sense and are not very fun to play against. I wish CA programmed the AI to make coherent build, with a solid infantry core, limited arti, a good ratio of skirmishers etc.. In customized battles it's evrn worse. You see dwarves come with stuff like 6 arti, 3 missile and 3 infantry regularly. It's simply unplayable.

For some reason this was scrapped during RTW and thereafter, cities just made whatever was the most expensive resulting in crapsack stacks. Also the AI never had any ability to actually fight as an army. it's always all too easy to pick apart the AI in battles. Weird, the game would be much better without those retarded ass stacks. I've ran into composition so stupid they were uber underdogs against 3 times cheaper armies. I've noticed that the ai also loves to sepukku its whole cavalry on heavily defended flanks before the main engagement starts. Stuff like 3 boar boys charging two demigryphs and a halleberd and other kamikaze attacks like that. I guess it's still really bloody difficult to make a strategy game ai that doesn't play like an absolute retard.

Would be really nice if people would put more effort into computer controlled factions, so difficulty would adapt a little towards a player.

Apparently they wanted it to be the 13th facton announced, which is why they kept it "secret" until Norsca was released. Fun stuff. I haven't liked so much playing evil factions for some reason, but I absolutely can't wait for Skavens and dark elves. They both seem absolutely awesome.

I thought part 3 will be about chaos so Chaos wastes made more sense? The working theory is that the picture above shows what the combined map will look like after game 3. Game 2 will include everything from Game 1 and the portions of the Southlands and New World that are shown. Game 3 will add everything to the east of those places.

It shows the exact province borders from game 1 and afaik CA told the world map will readjust provinces so the total number won't be too big. As it looks they would put in the old world as it is in game 1 and fundamentally change/shrink the races of game 2 which would probably not be very balanced. And if they reduce the number of old provinces without adjusting the map you would end up with giant empty provinces in the old world. I am also not sure if they really would want to miss out on the Southlands / Southern half of Lustria when they already put it in game 2.
