Have you considered playing Faceit?
I thought that was a TF2 ban wave that just hit all the alt accounts with CSGO as well since people shared their phonenumbers between accounts so they all got VACed, that's what reddit seemed to think, not sure.
I'm way too casual for Faceit Premium right now but maybe I should go back to some Faceit Free SoloQ. It's toxic as fuck and full of cheaters as well that run little risk of anything without overwatch but at least the servers might be better at the moment and you don't lose your rank in 2-3 weeks haha. I think I'll do that for now. Still doesn't change my opinion about Valve, their matchmaking and the fact that I'm more than unhappy about how they run their tied-for-first-place eSports title in the world...

Valve don't really run their title, that's one of the main issues...
Half assed decisions about important stuff (bans, maps anyone?) Really passive attitude towards development (there are bugs that have been there for so long it's mind boggling...)

Wow that people somehow think it's acceptable to play with 150-200 ping and regularly disconnect. "Don't worry it's normal for me". The fact that it's normal for you does not help us win the game.
|
You are fustrated by that? Imagine how fustrated they must be! Constantly disconnecting and having to play with these clearly inferior people in skill.
|
High ping and stuff isnt really a problem IMHO, the ranking system puts them with people that perform just the same.
Disconnecting is annoying as fuck though, people with unstable connections playing knowing full well they have problems infuriates me, i got pretty mad at some TL guy and removed him from my friends one time for that exact reason, he didnt understand the issue.

How about don't play in matchmaking if your internet is useless? It's not like I don't sympathize with their problem, but they are ruining the game for everyone else who's playing. It's not fun to shoot at people who's warping all over the place, neither is it fun to have teammates who disconnects all the time. I had two in a match earlier today. Hovering around 150 ping and disconnecting every 5 minutes, proclaiming it was "ok" because they where used to it.

Sometimes people just want to play no matter if they win or lose or disconnect.

I don't sympathize with that. Play casual if you have a connection problem. That way you aren't fucking over 9 other people in the process. It's not like you're getting any teamwork out of disconnecting every 5 minutes anyways, and if you're not playing for teamwork, you have no reason to play mm.

Warmed up with another stupid Operation mission today: win an Arms Race. First I queue into a map with just 2 guys on there, one blatantly hacking. I leave and requeue and it constantly puts me only in that one server with the hacker, who's laughing at me at this point. Can't break out so I stop trying and play a soloQ game. It didn't go so well (as you may expect from soloQ), TKing teammates for no reason, AFKing teammates, one guy always buys scout, another always buys deagle every round, zero communication except one guy yelling RUSH A/B through what I can only assume is the latest Soviet microphone model, still bad server performance with random choke spikes and high ping...
So that sucked but I still felt like giving it another shot as I wasn't frustrated (yet). Tried queueing for another competitive match and it takes 2-3 minutes of queue time with all current maps in the pool active (including D2) and then tells me it removed me from the queue because I failed to accept. Except I never got an accept button. Tried and tried again, nothing. Wait 2-3 minutes each time and no chance to play the game. Restarted, still nothing. Wasted about 30 minutes at least on this shit trying to play a fucking game of CSGO.
At this point, trying to enjoy the game is like torture to me. The contrast between the beautiful foundation of CSGO as an esports title and the horrible state that it is in (and deliberately is let in by Valve) is upsetting me very much.

I dont know man, I play like 5-10 games a month everytime I notice I dropped to DMG form inactivity and its been pretty plain sailing, I get my LE back and then go back into watching and living vicariously through Pros/
Granted I can carry most games even with leavers, potatoes and whiners but In general its a pretty decent experience.

I wanted to win a game to get my rank back, that's why I stuck to official MM, xkcd. Anyhow, I had to wait a couple hours and then I could queue and play normally again, won my game, got downranked from AK to GN3 for ~2 months of inactivity (which I can live with) but got a factory new Sun in Leo AWP which is quite nice.

Ah gotcha. I don't care about my rank since I don't play much anymore. Too busy watching memes in cs

and another 100% hacker.... I guess prime matchmaking doesn't work if everybody in your lobby has it enabled so it is completely my fault but still. And then he and his mates are shittalking ofc.
