I dont get it.
I have lags when playing, not constant but every so and so seconds for half a second. I only notice it in firefights when it really matters and in the buy menue when I click very fast.

My ping is constant at 30 and my fps are always 100+

How should I be using my movement and how do I chose angles properly for engagements? Any general tips that seem appropriate?

Against rifles: These examples are on inferno. When I am just scouting out and trying to get a quick pick or something (T side peaking arch or porch angles 1 by 1) I usually sidestep and preaim a tight angle. For taking halls control coming from T side it seems like a wide peak is more ideal (if I am alone). Is the former correct because I do not want to overexpose myself and take even (or better w/peakers advantage) 1v1s? Is the later also correct because I want to use my sonic speed to make my opponents readjust their aim while I also give myself time to see where and if they are there and aim at them?
Against awpers if I am forced to dry peak should I do the same as in the halls example for the same reasoning?

You peek tight angles for arch/porch because if you wide peek you'll most likely get shot in the back.

For halls I think that just depends, but a lot of people hold tight angles in halls so if you wide peek them they won't be able to kill you and you'll get valuable info (you'll see a lot of pros actually just jump across long halls/dark room when they come up stairs to not get instagibbed).

Against AWPers you either pre-aim a tight angle or shoulder peek, bait out a shot and then you can peek normally. Wide peeking against AWPers is not recommended if they're any good--you're just giving them time to react--but if you can jump peek them that might catch them off guard.

Example:

Press F1 or F2 to turn off random weapons, then you'll respawn with your previous choice each time!

It's limited to 2 wins/day on accounts that are not ranked yet. After you get 10 wins you won't get any more temporary cooldowns.

You can't before you're given a rank. After you win ten games it will no longer have a cooldown.

As a slight elaboration of the above two posts: As far as I'm aware its an anti-smurfing and anti-cheating measure by making it more of a hassle to get a new account set up for competitive. It means it takes a minimum of 5 days to be able to relentlessly spam ranked games.

Don't quite think this is a "simple" question, but hey, you know? I don't know where else to ask.

I'm still not too familiar with play styles or strats in CSGO, and when I watch progames, stuff is generally flying around too fast for me to get a good grasp for anything that's going on beyond a rudimentary level. Pretty much, I only know what the so-called Virtus Plow is, so if someone could talk about what makes each of the following teams (and the players therein) unique, I'd be really happy.

my quick initial answers would be
vp = momentum based (probably wrong :p)
navi = slow executions
fnatic = 5 gods
c9 = puggy
tsm = idk
nip = skill based/predictable (at this point)

Kind of busy at work so these were just my thoughts off the top of my head. Might try and expand on it later.

This requires a whole article lol. The quick and simple is:

VP: Extremely efficient, aggressive mid control based team. But when their engines are on full blast (Virtus Plow), all of their players have 100% accuracy and just out-aim everyone on the map. Snax is a God that constantly takes people off guard and is extremely reliable, but all five players can obviously compete (as can be said about every team in the top six).

Na`Vi: Much more passive, 4/5-man execute heavy team. Loads of firepower in flamie and GuardiaN and they often rely on them to open things up on T side.

Fnatic: Great players all around and best in-game leader in the game. JW and olof are beasts and KRiMZ is a solid CT-side anchor. The team rarely makes big mistakes, which is why they're so consistently good. Mid-round calls are their best attribute, as well as playing late-round scenarios flawlessly. They know how to abuse opponents on both sides of the map and are never scared to be aggressive.

Cloud9: Great overall talent. fREAKAZOiD is a hyper-aggressive entry and Skadoodle is a great AWPer. shroud is generally regarded as the extremely skilled, reliable and more passive rifler while n0thing is now their lurker. They still seem to be lacking on the coordination front, and sgares' in-game calling has not been impressive. The team also gets caught out with their knives more than any other team due to stupid quick switching.

Team SoloMid: Extremely high skilled and balanced team. Three of their players can AWP which can make them tricky to play against. They emphasize map control on their T sides and will usually abuse it to execute onto the weaker site. They have clutch players all around which is a huge strength.

NiP: NiP's always been known for having incredible chemistry while executing a looser style of play, but frankly some of their players have been underperforming. They love to work picks/work the map and you can generally see friberg/Xizt/allu as the main guys to rely on to open up things on their Terrorist side while GeT_RiGhT secures the round. With Xizt as IGL they generally have good T sides, but their CT setups are predictable, and while they do have a multitude of nice coordinated plays they just don't have a consistent X factor that keeps teams on their toes like JW, Snax or Happy.

Good post Souma, your best I've seen that didn't involve kissing ass =P .

I only really know the NA scene and would just say that sgares is playing more of the lurker now while IGL and has been doing a good job lately.

Virtus.Pro - the most experienced and titled team, they like to use various styles and timings to fool enemy. they have great set strats and also they are great in improvisations. as ct they like to be aggressive when enemy has poor buy. vp is only focused on big events so they "throw" all not important matches what makes some new fans thing they are inconsistent.
NaVi - very slow and passive style, waiting to the last seconds with executions. they like to seek picks with his awp.
fNatic - rather agressive playstyle, trying to abuse mistakes of enemy.
C9 - lack teamplay, they like to search for picks and wait for enemy to push but ofc it doesnt work against top teams
Team Solomid - very passive in ct, full arsenal in Terro with high awp usage
Ninjas in Pyjamas - they lack set strats, they rely on their skill and small teamplay but it is now not enough so they have problems because of that.

Nagi-sama, Souma and Nasze Zrodlo, thanks for your thoughts. Kinda sucks that C9 can be considered puggy when Gares is (according to like every commentator I've ever listened to for CSGO) the hardest working of all the IGLs.

They haven't been very puggy to be honest. They try to execute set strats a lot more. The problem is they're just not very coordinated atm, and sometimes sgares makes the wrong call. The mainly puggy thing about them is just fREAKAZOiD's tendency to be overly aggro at times and the entire team's penchant to get caught out with their knives because they quick switch as often as I shoot bullets.
