Well there is hardly a lack of information in todays day and age, you can watch people stream pretty much unlimited amounts of unfiltered content.

Around 1.3-2k across all regions. Not sure how many people are doing campaign/laddering yet though.

Man, I wish to buy this game but 2 things bother me a lot.
1 - Price tag. It is ~35$ in my country which is better than somewhere else but still cost a good amount for a game that I am not sure I will enjoy.
2 - Slow mechanics. I am not on the side of high apm but the game feels(from streams) so slow. I know this game has a different focus but I feel it can be a little faster. Is it boring?

It's not as slow as it looks and frankly Bikerush is a pretty terrible streamer (watch someone else and it is much more interesting). You are generally always doing something, same as StarCraft, it's just you sit with your army much more that you sit with your macro structures. Worth the money, definitely - I haven't seen too many people who bought it who actually don't like it.

I understand when people from poorer countries don't have money, but when did $50 for a game become expensive? I've always considered it standard price.

A good reason to buy this instead of Read Alert 3?

I can't say much, because I don't own the game, but from what I watched last night on twitch, while unit movement is rather slow, the players had to do alot of stuff to do, esp. in Goo vs. Goo games where unit micro seems to be quite important. Of course not as much as in SC2.

I guess it will be enough for me, because, honestly, SC2 is too much in my age. I'm just not as fast as I was in my teens/early 20s. Grey Goo seems to be the right answer.

I'm waiting for the pricetag to fall to or beyond 30€. I do think the game is worth the full AAA price tag, because it feels and looks like a AAA title worth that money, but I simply cannot justify such an investment in an entertainment product at the moment.

Thanks for the comments. About price tag, individually 35$ is not a high price of it delivers 10+ hours of good experience but as a semi dedicated gamer, there are tons of games to buy when they come out and eventually you ask yourselves.
Also I enjoy Dota(free) and CS:GO(abnormal cheap in steam sales, you feel like you rob Valve) so I spend most of my game time basically without any additional cost.
I am %100 comfortable to pay if i know I enjoy the game. There is no way to understand it without piracy(I don't do it anymore). When price range is equal or less than 20$, I convince myself better to blind date with a game.
Finally, this game is on steam which will be "steam-sale'd" eventually. Should I wait until summer? Probably miss some honeymoon period. Multiplayer life span of this game is questionable imo.

Probably the moment steam sales and humble bundles started appearing.

At the moment, i find it very hard to justify buying a game at launch. There is a high chance that i will get the same game in a better state later that same year for a quarter of the price. And i already have a backlog of games that i still need to play.

For 50€ , i can either get one new game, or 10+ good games that are a year old. Thus, buying at launch is something i pretty much only do for exceptional titles. I guess it would make sense if you are actually starved for games, but that is a very hard thing to achieve with the amount of good games getting released each year nowadays.

Is there a way for humans to expand?

As Beta I just spawned hubs on every resource point, got insane resource income and spammed units. As Human I can't find a way to build a second core, so I was pretty much stuck on the first two resource pools, the second already connected on a very long conduit.

The balance feels very wierd. Betas can just spam resource buildings everywhere, Goo can split and Humans seem stuck in their first base and have to hope they don't die to enemy numbers, especially after their resources run out.

You can spawn Refinerys on every resource point with humans as well.

and teleport to the enemys refinerys to deny them.

True. We from poorer countries just pirated all games before. Now can buy 10-20$ games in sales and such. 50$ was always out of our reach.

All refineries make enough harvesters(for free) to mine any ore at full efficiency. Just have to keep your harvesters alive, so stealth upgrade is probably a good idea.

Human units are pretty fast, so it's not bad.

I bought the game today , since I have data cap I am using this thing called PDANet to force a usb tethered connection through my cell phone to my computer ( because my android doesn't have usb tethering on it for some reason...) , I left it to download all day while I am at work , it seems it is 8 gigs and before I left it my connection was about 1Mbps and I think it may peak at 2Mbps, I hope it is done downloading by the time I get home! (A little over 8 hours i'll be gone) , If it is done downloading tonight I will be streaming it ! I am excited to play this game ...I spoke with the support team through email and they were very very nice and very responsive, not some automated message....really loved that to have such great support.

I really hope theres a nice group of people to play with on the NA server, or it may have been a waste of $50 T_T

Played it for a couple of days now and human is so fun. I pretty much rush teleport every game with 6 tanks and a factory making nothing but air scouts and if the game lasts long enough I get 2 more teleporters.

Short version is that Bikerush challenged him to a showmatch and Huk got mad and started BMing him and then Bike BMed back. That ended up as a challenge for a 1000$ showmatch one week from today, but Huk later declined it and BMed him more and called him poor and stuff and then people started donating money to BikeRush and donated 1000$ within 10 minutes.
