Uhhh, YS is just really good for fox against falcon, falcon likes lots of space, while fox doesn't really mind any stage.

Yea I'm just saying. It seems to me like hax knew he was losing the neutral game. That's why he took counter pick so seriously in MLG. He usually go battle field or bust.

Speaking of counterpicks, the last time I followed Smash seriously was like 2007 and they allowed a lot more counterpick stages back then, why the change? Seeing some of the more unusual stages sometimes was pretty cool

A lot of stages were banned from competitive because parts of the stage allowed for infinite combos, like on Corneria on the back side of the stage you could hit someone into the wall infinitely. It's also why on the fire stage on Pokemon you generally see people take a side and stay there till it ends because one wrong move could get you seriously screwed.

So the way I decide to cheer for... I always cheer against Fox, really want some "low-tier" heroes to win games. Too bad Marth couldn't do it last game.

Is the only way to play SSBM to get a Gamecube? What's the cheapest way I can play SSBM with the standard controller?

That makes sense, but it's still kind of sad that there are only like 6 legal stages in tournaments these days.

Iirc you can play SSBM on a Wii, but you'll still need GC controllers. Also I think there's some way of playing online but I've never done it

Wow, that was so sick, such perfect counters from Westballz.

You can definitely play Melee on a Wii. Obviously make sure the Wii can play gamecube games, otherwise you have to buy an older one. Bought a new black one a year ago, found out you can't play GC games on it. Became extremely sad.

Ah, a new gamecube on Amazon is only $150, so it's not actually that pricey at all. Lots of old ones on kijiji for $50-$75.

Well, I need to watch the matches again to be sure, but it seems like S2J had more stage control. It's not until S2J got near the edge where he started to lose. S2J's nairs and up air placements were better than Hax's, the tech chase is better too. Hax had better combo and was able to edge guard.
