Definitely agree. I mean the guy wasn't a fluke, he's clearly pretty damn good, but it was crazy how much people tended to ignore his results at Japanese tourneys and give him crazy placings like Top 15 in the world...

Me, Android and MikeHaggar played a ton of friendlies vs aMSa after RoF since we were housed at the same place in Paris.
I won like 4 out of 10 matches (first few matches I got destroyed due to not knowing the matchup). I know also Android and MikeHaggar took a few games after getting more comfortable in the matchup. Friendlies of course, but still.
None of us takes many games of Armada in friendlies, it's pretty rare.

If Apex's sets were all bo5 he wouldn't have made it that far but he made it exactly as far as he deserved due to bo3 format. Also PAL Yoshi vs Fox is so much easier. Doesn't matter. Yoshi sucks.

but s2j definitely should've had that set if he got like, ONE EDGEGUARD. He was playing pretty shitty.

S2j just need to learn to grab the edge. He could have gotten so many stocks, but decided to let hax back on for free. On the other hand, S2j's neutral game is seriously good. Well placed nairs, amazing up airs, and those tech chases, he just can't finish the stocks. And hax knew this, that's why he went to yoshi's story, to give S2j less room to run, and played near the ledge, avoiding the neutral game.
