I feel like Kargath on heroic is about the difficulty of normal brackenspore or tectus haha We wiped twice on Brackenspore and Tectus.. only once on Kargath HC. And then ~40 or so times on Butcher HC. Finally got him down but our dps and healing was lower than i think the levels that the fight was intended to be played with (at least at first) ![]() was at ~18.85k when i died, a whole bunch of people died at ~5-6% (way less than are dead in that pic, but quite a lot) when healing failed and we hit the hard enrage shortly after that Yes i'm missing a lot of hotkeys etc, can probably do 20k maaybe 21k with this gear and more with some boe's etc :D (especially if raid dps and healing is higher, so there is less of an awkward lull between ~80% and ~40% HP where it takes ages to die, and death strikes are not mandatory to use under threat of imminent death*) *That feeling when you have 30k HP, there is an unavoidable swing for ~90-100k damage coming in 3-5 seconds, all of your health pots and defensives are on CD and healers may or may not be casting at you

Acherus runes unfortunately seemed to have died, that's what i was using some years ago: ![]() this one seems good though. Rune/power/disease management is pretty much death knight 101 and i'm surprised to see it still completely missing from blizzards UI unless you stare at the top left corner of your screen for 80% of the time while fighting raid bosses

First attempt on Butcher we wiped when he was at 200k health lol, then won the next time. Tried Tectus a couple of times, did much better on attempts 3-4 but decided to skip it and went on to brackenspore. After a bunch of wipes we eventually stopped for the night. We got him down to like 10% one or two times. I was on flamethrower duty which was quite a pain until I understood exactly how to do it. Only one item dropped that I could equip and a rogue rolled higher than me :/ Lucky. I've spent about 8-9 hours over 3 different groups, most of it wiping on Butcher and Tectus. Finally downed Butcher in a group where I forgot to have a pet out for the first 10 seconds of the fight (and wasted a Soul Shard to get one) and still finished 1.5k above the nearest dps. I can't wait for guild runs ![]()

Gotta say I don't enjoy repeatedly wiping and trying to figure out how to better conduct a battle against a raid boss I know just the place for you! Go grab a Wildstar key and do System Daemons ![]() (well known for taking the world first guild ~800 wipes to take down, the fastest guild to kill it, ever, ~150 wipes)

Gotta say I don't enjoy repeatedly wiping and trying to figure out how to better conduct a battle against a raid boss... I thought I would enjoy it more. It might just be who you do it with that makes the biggest difference. The problem is the turnover in pugs. You explain the fight, you wipe, 5 people leave and you have to replace them. Explain fight again, wipe because the 5 new people are new, 5 others leave, etc. Vicious cycle.

I have yet to be in one where I wasn't top DPS on 90% of the pulls, and I KNOW I'm not being super optimal. That and people don't understand simple mechanics like moving in/out for cleave on Butcher and not running red shit through the raid on Tectus. Still, I'll slam my face into them until my guild can actually get its shit together or I find a new one. I feel ya about the guild thing. I've progressed more with pugs than with my actual guild and probably cleared more than other members too. I wouldn't say they're bad players either, just not very tryhard and don't put time into raiding.
