It should send eventually if you don't get something.

I had a guy with battle fright, and throughout a whole fight, he was just chilling in the back, moving to the EXACT same squares as my commanders with stay behind troops command, even tho this infantry guy had attack closest command. Also, seems like alot happened last turn, just waiting for Scip to do his thing. | ||

Anyways I'm just rambling at this point. In general what should I try to transition into as EA Ulm. EDIT: More questions but don't want to double post :D Trying out a strategy with EA Caelum (yes I know op said avoid this nation if you are new, but I tried them anyways ^^) because it sounded like fun but have some questions. For this strat I am supposed to use the conjuration spell summon yazatas fairly early to pair with my eagle kings, but the guide im reading (EA Caelum Guide) says to only get conj1 and then alch gems to get it, this part confused me... how do I get a conj5 spell with only researching it to 1? I tried with my enchantress to alch me a lot of astral pearls since summon yazatas takes 2 astral but that didnt work :/. Any help is appreciated! EDIT2: It looks like that caelum guide is outdated anyways so that probably explains why I can't follow it xD. | ||

The keyword here is cost effectiveness, you don't want your fully kitted out deathmachine spending his time hopping from province to province killing a bunch of PD. Thugs can also be used to gangbang SC's with the right equipment etc. The "recipes" for thugs are numerous, see if you can come up with something that works . | ||

2) Baalz is a vet player known for writing off-the-wall guides. That one in particular is completely outdated however, as he's writing from a Dom3, CBM (a community balance mode) perspective. CBM changed a number of things with the Dom3 base game, Yazatas being research 1-2 being one of them. Overall, I'd be very careful when looking at old Dom3, nation specific guides for that reason. Most of the old Dom3 guides on thugging, communions, etc, are still valid with the critical exception of reverse/linebacker communions no longer being possible (good riddance too as it made all the nations with Astral/Blood access MONSTERS in battlefield casting: you could buff up all slaves to cast Gifts from Heavens, and consistently reinvig the fatigue down for the first 5 turns if you had blood; it was why Acroscephale was a TOP tier nation for a long time). 3) EA Caelum is generally not recommended, but if you want to try it, just go for the usual Storm with Eagle King into Summon Airpower-Thunderstrikes with Caelian Seraphs. You can do other things with Harab Seraphs, but stick with the basics. EA and LA Caelum are pretty damn weak overall in my opinion (LA moreso), with MA being the "strongest" Caelum simply due to magic access. But again, utilizing them and circumventing the frankly crap troops (to make use of MM3 flying) is difficult and requires a good bit of understanding of the magic system, and major research goals. 4) http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/showthread.php?t=41970 Baalz's thugging guide (which is still completely applicable). | ||

Figure out who's an easy target with scouts (seriously, indie scout provinces are godsends), then coordinate an attack. Alternately, consolidate and get extra forts up. Site search and work to maximize your resources as you hit your major research goals. | ||
