If you're stuck on dead/unconcious when respawning, your best bet is to join a very high ping server (ideally 500+), it usually fixes that, your character will spawn and you can join normal servers then. But you have to deal with their retarded anti-server hop cooldown then, and I have to say it is pretty infuriating.

well i kinda fixed it finally. the thing is...the game says you're dead when in reality you aren't really. So i just let the game opened and my character died of starvation a few hours later.

Can someone blood bag me on dayZ standalone? I am at the sniper hill at balota hiding in some trees and in a very low blood situation. In exchange I can give some m4 mags and group up and gear you up if need be. I might already have the tools for the blood bag, not too sure tho. I got a syringe with my blood in it, an IV start kit, a blood bag and some other stuff. :/

^ blood bags are risky as fuck, because you have to have a compatible blood group. We killed several people by injecting them incompatible blood and watching them die :D Better use a saline or eat/drink a lot. The new energized/hydrated indicators are cool, when they are bright green you begin regenerating blood.

Unrelated but did someone find out about how to aim effectively? On the opposite of the mod, the gunplay feels really odd in the standalone. I saw two posts about a guy explaining why guns sucked ass (bad muzzle velocity and spread), but in game, most guns just random shoot bullets totally astray, and I can't understand the mechanics behind it. Is it when you're out of breath? But sometimes it seems to shoot straight when while breathless.. Also there still is the bug that makes your bullet hit the ground when you're on a hill slope, hope they'll fix it eventually, makes shooting prone almost impossible, and even crouched.
I feel like in games where you have a aim down the sight function, bullets should just go where you aim no matter what, as being breathless already makes aiming awfully hard. So I hope the silly randomness of bullet trajectory is not a mechanic they implemented willingly :/

once you get to the veteran stage it seems like it's a glitchy fps where you have to grind for a couple hours until you can even begin to participate in the endgame and death is permanent

the fun is the becoming the veteran, and the evolving you do as you play this game.
I have yet to have a similar gaming experience, that came close to rivaling the evolution you see people go through as they play this game.
You go from a coward scrambling/crying through the dark, to the badass with the night vision goggles and the sniper rifle picking off people from 1000 meters.
Sickest game ever, imo. Have had experiences in this game that i will never forget, and look forward to the completion of the standalone and reuniting with my old TL DayZ crew

I was under the impression that there was a TL group active atm? Always been debating whether I should join up or keep playing with just my friends.
