Also all MMO's have issues at launch and pvp got hit pretty hard with the brunt of them in wildstar (wintrading, botting etc) carbine are doing a good job of fixing it all in the months since release afaik but ofc the official forums fails to recognise that because of my first sentence D: | ||

PVP seems like a horror story atm, i've heard many accounts of mass wintrading (people queueing for an hour, getting people dodging them 2-3x a minute and failing 20+ queues in a row) and you don't have to look far to see somebody in game charging 50 euros for a boost to 1800 rating (which holds several best in slot PVE items which give >10% DPS boosts over what you can find on auction house) I trust carbine to fix up some stuff, but there's been some pretty serious damage done to gearing for various reasons (crafting, pvp mainly) that seems like a bit of a mess to deal with in a serious game. I'd like if they worked upwards on tiers quite quickly to make this old gear obsolete or at least replaceable, for a fresh start. The only other options are retroactively nerfing everything that everyone paid and worked for (they have said they won't do that) or leaving a fraction of the population with gear significantly better than everyone elses which is now unobtainable | ||

Crafted item passives are still really brokenly strong, though getting weaker. Stalkers are blowing up everything they touch right now, damage in general is just too high. Spellslingers have a bug where they can fire 2 charge shots at once if you do it right, every time. They can also gate trick, which means they go in one direction and stun in another. 2's i full of people that tanked their rating all the way down to carry friends up. 50%+ of the ques are people that just leave when they get in, which you get nothing from. PvP is really broken right now, hopefully patch helps. | ||

lol I've not seen most of this, but then again i don't pvp. I would if i had heard good things, but it seems quite the opposite, my chances of pvping to 1800 legit and learning the game in a fun environment seem low. PVE seems good, amazing even, aside from my concerns about gear and actually having people to play with. If you only PUG, you probably want to be playing World of Warcraft (which designs all of content to be PUG-able) instead of Wildstar where you'll probably get 1-50 in about 100 hours and then hit a wall of nothing but dailies and content that you can't actually do with no reason to bother farming money to gear up, if you're solo and don't plan to join at least a decent guild or group of friends | ||

My path skill is bugged to have a 10 minute cooldown instead of 3 minutes, so i'm effectively getting nothing out of my warrior path. I could have cool abilities like summoning people to me and making portal, but i chose soldier so i get this one, only it's broken. My weapon randomly turned white yesterday and lost a bunch of stats. Solution is wait until next server restart in a day or so and maybe it'll fix itself (it did) I got summoned somewhere, the button came up and accept/decline was visible. I wasn't quite out of combat when i hit accept, so it failed and the window went away. There was no warning of this, and because of it i had to hoverboard to this place about 3-5 kilometers away with a party waiting for me. Just stuff like that, when it's like "Oh shit, really..?" There is a lot of really awesome stuff in this game though. If you're looking for a good PVP environment or amazing class balance at launch, look elsewhere (they're reworking warrior tanking by drop 4.. maybe in drop 3.. so 3-4 months where i hear nobody is taking warrior tanks for progression raiding because of insufficient threat generation, which sucks) All in all though i expect this to be a pretty damn good game in 6 months to a year, and it's certainly very fun now. It just feels right to play, even though there's quite a few problems and annoyances | ||

Easiest and most sensible solution is still to find a guild though. Just last week my guild recruited two players who hadn't started on any dungeons and now they're both fully attuned. | ||

There i did some crazy stuff including somehow doing tribute to insanity 10 player (10 man TOTC heroic, no wipes) in a PUG as tank, but here, content is a little more gated and generally progression is more limited and annoying if you're not playing with friends | ||
