You can't really say "rotations" or "priority lists" when you arn't working with anything near the system those terms are created for. this isn't tab targeting where you don't have to aim and dodge your moves. Its a much more fludid system where you have to create an identity around the skills you bring in and go from there. My spell slinger build I'm going for is a sniper/support build with a head and an absorbe to go with the charge shot rapid fire and ignite (which I really think is underrated in pvp) It doesn't matter what the terms are. Let's try something a bit diferent. Is it like Smite with a few more skills or more complicated? Is there any difficulty in actually doing the maximum DPS with the order and timing of your abilities or is all the endgame skill based around movement?

Yeah Its probably a lot more like smite except you can switch your auto attack for something else ie if your looking for more burst or healing. Skill through the entire game is about movement and aiming your skills and avoiding the enemies skills (even monsters to a much smaller degree at first but god damm the raids are so insane) Some of the classes early like the engie need the auto attack skill at the start to generate the recourse for their other skills but the ss medic and stalker naturally regain focus as time passes. Nothing is really locked down and I've not seen a lot of auto attack skill (for lack of a better term) used by most classes by level 25 let alone level 50. I'm hearing a lot of buzz from the pvp crowd about warrior at the start might be best with how much attention ss has been getting.

Not completely though. I'm using a radeon HD 6950 2GB. ![]() If the game comes out and we get a couple 7-day trials, PM me after release and I might be able to send you one!

Anyone got any comments on which pvp server we should play on? The servercenter is in Dallas Texas so there isn't an east/west split. I've gotten 42-60 ping from Minnesota. Widow is pretty popular from what I've read but pergo has a lot of the pvp guilds as it was the closed beta pvp server.

![]() This game is the first game in a while where i think the dev's actually understand what a good mmo should be based on their own knowledge on not what the casual mmo community has been telling them should be a good mmo. Guild wars 2 based their game on what players where complaining about in other games. They made everything "equal" beyond vanity etc, and swtor had the similair problems with terrible and lazy itemization and poor character progression. Thats a thing that WOW originally did very well, strong character progression through diverse itemization and difficulty, then after WOTLK they took their itemization and essentially cut it in half leading to less diverse but more "fair" pve. Remember when 10 and 25 mans actually dropped different items lol. Anyways its well documented in the swtor on wow forums on here my dislike for pandering to a crowd that doesnt even actually know what they want. MMO players think they want things to be more "fair" or they need things to be made easier, or they want itemization to be more straightforward, but in reality as soon as mmo developers give in to those things, they have taken out the magic of a good mmo. Strong character progression with something always to strive for. If the path becomes to easy and players can see the end to clearly (even if they haven't reached it yet) they will likely be a part of the mass exodus that happens in so many mmo's 2-6 months in. Even when players don't have the ability to raid or do hard dungeons or whatever, they think "well maybe when i have more time it would be awesome to try that out" or "I cant wait until my gear is good enough" etc. I think its very important to have things placed in the game that are accessible to everyone but also have things that are always far away and unattainable for a majority of players, its the reason they keep wanting to progress their characters even if they never actually do the activity they are progressing towards. Its amazing how many developers miss the point entirely or dont want to take the time to create content that is difficult enough. I get that they are listening to players and basing their decisions on what the players say they want, but over the past few years this is one thing players (casual players which are in the majority) are wrong about, making things equal and making progression easier etc. is not what they actual want, when they get it a lot of them are happy then get bored and quit, when they dont get it i think they are more likely to complain and stay. Wildstar says the dev's are listening, and they are , but when it comes to difficulty or ease of progression that is one area where they wont seem to budge, they just give a flat out "NOPE" and i applaud them for that.

They invited a bunch of the top wow raid guilds and gave them NDA secret beta access to the raiding content so they could beat it and show the devs how to make it hard for even a coordinated experienced and organized group. Theres a shitton of community hype over how hard veterans are buzzing on how difficult wildstar level 20 content is let alone the 20 and 40 man raids and veteran battlegrounds. What I'm really excited about is the devs using money for actual game development instead of advertising. Much of the hype is created form inside of the community and not from multi million dollar cinematic trailers that mean nothing once you start playing the game. They've got a community manager that gets his face out in the community and is promising 2 shows a week to talk about the game. The raids and battlegrounds are also going to be really awesome with how they get reset every week to something new. So say in a normal raid there are 2 bosses 1 hostile room and then the final boss. Well in these raids there are 6 bosses 2 different rooms and the final boss ALL with different move sets that can be switched out as well. You won't go into a raid every week knowing where the next door is going to open or what boss is going to be behind that door or even what move set hes going to be useing. But on top of it all the most basic thing I'm excited about is telegraphs. There have always been telegraphs in games. There have always been the areas where you know not to be and you know you want to be. To create imagined difficulty games have not explicitly show you were those zones are the first time, but we've always caught onto where that is. Now they're actualy showing you every spot you are safe and the different spots you are not safe. This means they can pack insane am mounts of attacks with insane complexity and it's not frustrating in any degree because the information is being told to you in real time and in a system you can easily understand. and fucking warplots are going to be so amazing I can even.
