Erm, not really either.
Pet class is Engineer, and there's nothing even close to a druid. Maybe Esper, they're fun to play.

To be honest I were suprised how much fun this MMORPG were to play. After WoW (which I quit after the lich king expansion), no mmorpg really got me interested. SWOTR got me slightly interested because of the story, but that was it. Wildstars are the first game after all that time that I actully really enjoy. Great mechanics and great fun.

I really did not enjoy any MMO after WoW. Sorry if this has been asked before, but do I have any reason to play this game or is it just another WoW clone?

Naturally, it uses all the things we take for granted in an MMORPG since WoW's success. If you ask this question I doubt you would be interested in any MMORPG that is likely to be released, ever.
I think the combat mechanics are cool, but from what I've seen I don't expect the endgame to be nearly as complex as WoW HC raiding, more like memorizing choreography. Also, they only plan to add more endgame content, so it will probably end up like TERA, which had fun combat but severely lacked content and thus lost most of the paying customers.

Actually, Raiding is supposed to be INCREDIBLY hard mechanics wise. 20/40 man raids, with a lot of, complicated, and sometimes randomized (so you don't need to learn two mechanics and that's it) mechanics.
WildStar doesn't pretend to be completely different than WoW. I think WildStar is great in the fact that they try to build on it's succes. No tabtargeting, but action and movement based combat. Only skillshots (even melee attacks have a ''radius''). You've got double jumping, dashing, sprinting.
Four different ''Sub-classes'' give a whole new level of depth and from what I've played, professions are actually fun, contrary to WoW. They refresh the genre with a slightly adjusted WoW formula, a new art style, ex-WoW devs, and an awesome team that is actually responding to fans. They changed the UI completly just a month ago, 2 months before launch because the community screamed out for it. Their catchphrase is ''The devs are listening'' and contrary to Blizzard (Look at Starcraft and WoW sometimes..) they actually DO.
I think this game gets way too little recognition for what it deserves aswell.

Look at that. You just know you'll be in right hands reading a post like that.
It's been 1.5 years since I've played anything ''actively'' and for a long period of time except SC2, and maybe it's time for me to keep that going. I'll atleast level (a couple of toons maybe) to 50, then see how long I want to pay/make money in game so that I can pay subscription. I don't think I'll ever be a hardcore MMO-er again, but I sure as hell will love this game in the first couple of months from what I've played, seen, and read of it.

Ok, this post convinced me this game has to be at least tried. Do we have plans for a TL european server?

Planning on getting it, didn't get much free time to play the open beta but it seems fun.

Does anybody know if this game is worth the $60 and $14.99 a month it demands? I'm looking for something that's more like a refined Vanilla/TBC WoW.

This game is 100% free to play. No clue what drugs this guy is on. It's acting like GW2 in terms of how it gets it's money.

Wildstar is a subscription based mmo like wow idk what you're thinking this is but its currently just in an open beta. the game is relased for real at the end of the month.

Err. No.
http://www.wildstar-online.com/en/game/features/business-model/
Game uses the same subscription model as WoW and a so far quite nebulous exchange of ingame currency vs. playtime. And for that model as well, *somebody* has to pay the monthly subscription.
First impressions are terrible, childish (in a bad way, I love Tom & Jerry) graphics, runs like crap on a decent PC, levelling feels like a throwback after SWTOR and TESO. Still for someone looking for a "refined Vanilla WoW" like the guy above, this might be worth a try.

You can earn your game time by simply playing the game and buying CREDD. That qualifies as being 100% free to play in my book. Or you can simply pay $15 a month if you don't wanna play the game... to play the game lol.
Though the price of CREDD is going to be determined by players and that might make it too expensive to make enough money in the allotted time frame. Have to see.
|
Well the CREDD will probably be near unpayable (10 Platin or more) early on I guess if you aren't lucky.

I am giving this a try at release. Anybody knows if the hitbox are normalized between races ?
|
so i missed the open beta, how do i participate in the ops week or w/e? they said servers will be up randomly, so how do you even dl the client and know when to play?
|
I'll be honest i'm not a fan of MMORPG and have little experience with them... this game ROCKS i already pre ordered because of how awesome it is. The only reason why i tried it was because someone told me that the OLD Blizzard devs that developed BW made this game which i think was a lie because they knew how much I <3 bw lol but seriously I played 10 mins of the game then pre ordered its so awesome
|
SO I would LOVE if we had a Team Liquid guild for when it came out .... I would sign up in a heartbeat
|
Yeah i loved the open beta, i'll probably play a really different class though, but i'd love to play it with you people, albeit on a EU server
|
So how many people would be interested in a U.S. guild once the game comes out? And hardcore/casual, pvp or pve server?
