Something about the character movement in this game feels weird. Maybe I just need to play more and get used to it, but something feels really strange. I don't know how to articulate what I mean when I say it is weird. Sticky kind of, or maybe a bit clunky? I dunno.

But the gameplay is pretty great so far. I've played a crazy jailbreak game and DM and a bunch of other modes. So as long as they keep innovating and making new maps for fun modes I'll prolly play a bit.

This game won't make it far unless community makes a lot of effort, the movement is terrible. Maps are terrible. Two guns? Cmon.. I can't see how this game would make an "e-sport". Good thing is i guess the ability to mod, best gamemods comes from the community.

Kinda funny that the preorder is the same price for USD and Euros. Also sad that us poor swiss can't even pay in our own currency (since the VAT in swiss is lower than in Europe it would save some money).

Well.. I nearly snap buy 5copy and in the end I might buy none.

Btw... I notice that you can only buy "Storm"... does it mean that they plan on selling "Joust" and "Elite" modes also?

Except that, the game is quite nice, some lags issues and that feeling that you don't shoot where you aim (might be explained by the fact that I mostly play drunk or high).

I was so bored last night that I freaking preordered on an impulse. $16 isn't life threatening to my bank account but one of these days I'm going to get burned by it @_@. luckily for me the game turned out to be pretty fun. the movement and aiming takes a lot to get used to though. I don't know why they didn't just standardized it. I'm looking forward to more weapon updates since the game's current issue is lack of complexity.

Ever see quake? Has like three guns that people use. The maps are tiny but extremely high skill ceiling. That's exactly what this game is aiming for (high skill ceiling) because that's what competitive e-sports type people want. Not Call of bullshit with 400 guns 397 of which do the exact same thing.

Quake has 3 main weapons (rail, rocket, LG), but other useful weapons too such as the shotgun, grenade launcher, and plasma (last 2 being very good area denial weapons). The maps in Quake may be small but are insanely tactical. I'm not sure how tactical shootmania will be with its simplicity. I really think this game needs something more so that it is not just a flash in the pan.
