Also, for all of you saying GW2's launch was great: THERE WAS NO AUCTIONHOUSE FOR A WEEK. It destroyed the economy, and made the game stupidly hard for crafters to actually make money, due to the market being flooded forever afterward. Are you seriously comparing "no Action House" for a week to " not being able to log on at all " ? lol Seriously, I don't understand why people are defending this game so much when so far what I've seen of it and its model is the worst of what MMO can offer. It's a grind fest of a gameplay, with a subscription model but still with a cash shop, and with apparently a very bad launch situation. I respect the opinion of people, hut seriously guys, cool down.
not even that fun to grind imo, combat in tera was a lot more interesting than this auto attacking while moving with the same anime models.

Then don't play it?

I suppose. But of course a grind fest being a negative is your opinion. The more grindy an MMO, the more fun it is for me!
Anyway, game isn't even released yet, people cry. Standard. I'm gonna chill out for a while, and when it's fixed I'll play it like crazy. All is well.

Cash shop? There is no cash shop. And the MMO isn't any less grindy than WoW. You get 50% bonus exp for leveling other classes. And the gathering/crafting are actually a bit more fun, since they have more to them then the typical right click->receive.

Oh, sorry.. I've seen it on r/games, but it's actually in Elder scrolls Online. ~~ I'm being confused with Wildstar , ESO, and FFXIV all coming out in the news these days. All 3 with subscription model.
I'm just watching this game from afar, because I'm a MMO enthusiast, but the Final Fantasy Universe doesn't attract me at all ( never played one ).

I'm not only comparing them, I'm saying the form is WORSE. These server issues will be fixed, and the game will be good for a while. The no AH destroyed a game's economy for a while. I know most of today's generation prefers to think short term over long term, but long term destruction is ALWAYS worse.

I played the game at launch, I didn't feel such a "destruction" as you tell.. =/ But whatever, I get what you mean. Although launch problem can be very damaging long term because it put people off your game right at the start when people should be coming to it.

I pre-ordered the digital PC version from Square Enix store today several hours ago.
I still haven't received the email with the activation code though. Anyone else have this problem?
edit: Cancelled the order and just got it from Amazon.

Anyone else getting error 1017 when they try to login to their character?
|
I had been, but I'm finally in now.
|
I have been getting a mix of 1017 and servers not found all day.

Hit lvl 42 for black mage and just finished the lvl 41 instance Stone Vigil. The beginning instances are pretty easy, although theyve been tuned better since the beta. The dungeons do become progressively harder.

Thanks in advance! Several people, including myself, have already answered this question on previous pages.
Sorry, I checked only from page 25 onwards, didn't seem to see an in-depth comparison~

Any other Australian players on the JP servers?
The ping I have experienced is absolutely atrocious, wonder if its just me.

No, mine's terrible too. I'm considering switching to na because of it.

How are you finding the combat system so far? Is it interesting or just a standard MMO 1-2 ability spam with the odd proc or instant mixed in?

I was trying to go on Moogle to reach BreathePL but it seems always full. Any other european server with a decent TL population?

At low levels this seems to be the case
