I thought this was only for farming "live" humanity when killing enemies before a boss is down. I did some runs, and each run netted 1-2 humanities (with 170 item discovery), but then at some point it just stopped, and I didn't get any more in 5 runs. At that point I had 9 humanities in my inventory, but I used at least one (don't know if it was exactly one, though). You can carry up to 99 Humanity "tokens" in your inventory. The Humanity you acquire automatically (your counter increases) through killing enemies may have a limit though, and only works if a zone's boss is still alive. I highly recommend the baby skeletons before Nito. You can get into a comfortable rhythm and they drop at a decent rate if you have ~10 humanity on your counter and the serpent ring that improves drop rate. Just be sure to grab them quickly as soon as you see one drop however, since the rapid respawning also despawns corpses quickly too.

I went in and looked around for a loot chest. It took a while but eventually I got it, lol. On August 30 2012 21:31 Duka08 wrote: You can carry up to 99 Humanity "tokens" in your inventory. Overall the fight is pretty easy I'd say. As long as you're just patient enough, the only thing that tends to really scare me is when he takes off and tries to land on you. Apart from that its just running around, wait until he slams his body on the ground and hit him 1-3 times, then back off before the charge and hit him again afterwards.

About the drop chance and the humanity, do i have to use the humanity (and be human while having humanity in my stash) to increase my chances or do i just need to have them in my stash ? You do not have to be human(reverse hollowing), just be holding soft/loose humanity(as numbers next to your health bar). Hard/solid humanity items do nothing. You only need to hold a few humanity to greatly raise your item discovery because of diminishing returns. Holding 1 humanity gives you 150 item discovery (+50), however it drops to +8 per humanity after that. Holding 5 will give you 180, and up to 10 will give you 210 item discovery. There are two items which increase item discovery by 200, but do not stack with each other only humanity, so max item discovery is 410. The two special items and how to get them: + Show Spoiler + The Covetous Gold Serpent Ring: Sen's Fortress, At the bottom of the last stairs that switchback a lot the boulders roll down (near the mimic), the bottom wall will be broken open if you let enough boulders come down, revealing a chest with the ring. Symbol of Avarice (Mimic Chest Helm, looks hilarious) Mimic chests do not respawn, however they can be farmed. Buy a lot of Lloyd's talismans (undead burg merchant male). Use a very weak attack to wake the mimic up, such as unarmed punching, then throw a lloyd's talisman at it to make it fall asleep (you can loot the chest while it's asleep and it will not wake). You will be able to see the item if it drops glowing in the chest, take it to make sure it's not just their gauranteed drop the first time. Repeat until you get the mimic helm. My current playthorugh I got it after 7 talismans, but I've also gone through 99 before and not gotten it, so stock up. This helm also acts like and stacks with the Silver Serpent ring(+20% souls, with both 144%), but it drains 5 hp per second.

I haven't hit any limit yet, so I think the best place for humanity now is from marvelous chester, but I'm not sure yet. He sells them for 10,000 souls each, and farming souls is way faster and easier than humanity, unless you're doing the annoying baby skeletons that toxic you and despawn immediately before NIto on new game +.

Gaping dragon is easy, hydra is easy, the fire spider is easy and the minotaur thing near the beginning of the game is easy. The only boss that actually was hard was the two gargoyles. Will the bosses get harder or is this it? If you thought the gargoyles were hard then dont worry. edit* although I do agree with you some bosses can be astoundingly easy. I killed quelaag on my first try with the barbarian chick and it took no effort at all. Was expecting her to be really hard. I had some pretty good gear though I guess. I had the same thing for quelaag haha

Will the bosses get harder or is this it? Those are among the easier bosses. Gaping dragon is predictable, hydra doesn't do much, quelaag can be tricky if you are alone and melee, taurus is supposed to be easy first boss. Hydra is just a miniboss as well. Also everything will get a lot harder on higher difficulty levels. Just new game + alone will double enemies hp and triple their damage and aggresiveness, getting through new game + + + will kick most gamers butts.

I guess quelagg was just easy for me because + Show Spoiler + I found I got a black knight shield somewhere (I assume as a drop from a black knight). I was just disappointed that she was a 1-trick pony with her fire. If you get a shield with 95% fire resistance, it's really a joke :/. The gaping dragon was similar. + Show Spoiler + All you have to do is wait until he slams his mouth in the ground, take a few swings, back up as he charges, and then take a few more swings. Actually, I found that butterfly miniboss to be the hardest -_-. As a melee character, you can't hit her until she lands on the damn bridge. But she's throwing projectiles at you all the time she's not landed. I was able to beat her finally when I realized + Show Spoiler + that being farther away doesn't make the projectiles any easier to dodge. Also, when she's landed, you can switch to 2-handed grip since she's not attacking you lol. Only use I found for that grip so far. Also, I got invaded for the first time last night in blighttown. I thought people pvping me would be really strong, but he was really weak. I just blocked a few times and backstabbed him and he died lol. He dropped a butchers knife and tons of souls. It was exciting ^_^.
