Blighttown is such a pain in ass that you should just go through the Valley of Drakes, through the cave and then down the waterwheel to the campfire and then Quelaag. If you'd like to see some PvP vid, I made these awhile ago. I mainly focused on learning new weapons and getting good with them so excuse the quality, enjoy the music + Show Spoiler + My last video (I would have made plenty more if my PS3 didn't keep crashing. This is an accumulation of all my fights and experiences: Iaito. Like the Uchigatana pretty much but I made this +15 and with the fire buff Chaos Falchion: Rapier: Quelaag sword: Daggers (a lot of backstabs): And finally my first set of PvPs. Hopefully you can see the difference from Uchigatana Style 1 to 2. If I had the money I'd buy the PC version and keep making vids:

I was thinking to myself, "Is the game THIS hard?!" hahaha!

Decending a huge ladder into what looks like a swamp. Keep getting poisonned, where can I find antidote from? there are no merchants anywhere near my location... surely I don't have to walk all the way back to fire shrine?

2gig ram geforce 9600GT would that be enough to run the game? skyrim and d3 run pretty ok but since the port seems to be rather meh-ish i'm not too sure it will be enough

Hm, I just spent 15 minutes doing this and I noticed that they drop lots of purple moss but for some reason, it does not heal (Toxin( which is what I keep getting poisonned with. is there a different kind of moss to get to deal with Toxin ? edit - I just got one purple moss with white flowers on it that cures toxin buildup. Jeez, one moss in 25 mins grinding... this could take a while.

The merchant at the tunnel between lower and upper undead burg, near the depths entrance sells them.

I haven't played in a while but I think that either prevents or slows the build-up of Toxic. Very useful when going through Blighttown to block those stupid dart blowers.

It slows it by like 50% or 65% if I remember correctly. Edit: OP should also be updated with link to the HD textures.

However, I'm starting to get the feeling that you aren't really meant to play the game as a pure spellcaster. Sometimes enemies just get too close and its hard to use magic then. Sometimes it seems easier to just use the ol' sword and board. I also really like ripostes and backstabs :3. I'd say magic is best kept for bosses and bigger mobs. For the trash mobs you should use your weapons. I got a question so I got Astoras Sword and it says it does 80 psysical and 80 magic damage. Maybe the mobs are just super resistant but this sword does hardly 40-50 damage on the trash mobs in the blighttown area

Astoras Sword is "unique" type weapon and it is upgraded with Twinkling titanite. It is rare type of titanite but if have been lucky you might have found few of them. And yes different enemies are resistant to different things. If your weapon says it does 100 physical dmg and 100 fire dmg dont expect it always to deal 200 damage on every hit. It depends on the enemy as well as your own stats.
