I agree, awesome weapon.

I gotta go classic: Normal upgraded Longsword. Very middle-of-the-road, but I really like the moveset, and it's classy as all get-out.
If the control scheme was that mouse adjusted facing, I would go with Rapier-types. But I just can't stand having to move forward to back every time I want to line myself up right, and M+K lock-on is terribad. Longsword is a lot easier to hit with manually. Uchigatana, because I like katanas. I've played around with other weapons, but I like its moveset the best. I especially like the forward thrust power attack. It has quite a lot of range. Seconded. That merchant in undead berg has never lived past my first meeting with him. My first playthrough i accidently attacked him in panic mode (kekeke, i shit my pants) and discovered the uber katana without even realising he was a merchant. I prefer it so much i use it over the drake sword. Hate that thing. Thirded. I just find Uchigatana fun to play with and I also accidentally killed the mechant before I even found out that he was a merchant. I had been frustrated for a couple of days now with my lack of progress as I had tried and failed to kill Capra Demon. I knew how to kill it but just screwed up something every single time. But now I tried it for the first time today and it was a success. Feels good man. I just love the feeling of success this game gives. Whenever I'm stuck somewhere, I try three times per day to try to get past it. When I fail to get past it the third time, I put down my controler, turn off my xbox and go do something else. This is to avoid frustration since the parts I usually get stuck at are rather cheesy... ...Im' looking at you, Anor Londo snipers. You have to not stop, just run once you're there and don't look back, you have to be bold to go where no man has gone before =p

I love both Tracer weapons they look very cool when you swing them and cut shit up. Also the Sword that drops from cutting Kalameets tail... Mostly because that is the hardest thing I have ever done in the game haha. Also it's 2h special is awesome looking.

I think my favorite weapon was Pharis' bow (on a dex main where i usually played around with katanas). Was probably more trouble than it was worth but sniping down the hydra from the cliff above it (in that area behind the locked door in the forest) was friggin hilarious.

Since he said +5 I assume he meant black knight halberd. The normal halberd +15 is also a pretty sick weapon though

if it's his first play through and he isn't that far in he probably doesn't have all the embers and can't go past +5 on the original Halberd.

Yeah, it's the basic one found in Undead Parish, with +5 upgrade from the smith.

On January 11 2014 06:20 maartendq wrote: I know, but I can't seem to kill that archer when I get to him mainly due to camera issues. You really don't have to. The trick is to run very close to him, to where there's a slight "curve" in the wall. Stand in the curve, lock onto him and hold up shield. Everytime he attacks, put down shield to regain stamina and put it up again. He'll eventually fall down by himself. You don't have to worry about the other sniper, he's blocked from hitting you when you're up on the ledge.

Man, I'm really disappointed in the Depths. I expected some catacombs, graves, skeletons, demons and darkness. Instead it's a bloody sewer filled with shit, some of which even attacks you. Yuck. Boss in there was really disturbing though!

There are catacombs, graves, demons, skeletons and darkness at other places. There is a big castle above the depths, there have to be sewers somewhere. Unless the undead don't shit.

Depths has a brilliant atmosphere imo, you really feel like you're below ground and enclosed, first playthrough had me standing at corners and doors not wanting to go past. (That f**king knight who drops down) so dark too :D

I learned to enjoy the Depths, because Blighttown was right afterwards. Fuck Blighttown.

what is yall's favorite boss? personally Sif for music and the fight really hits home to me I get really sad when he starts limping and falling over when he is about to die. for difficulty I had the hardest time with Ornstein and Smough

Depends a lot on the character or build you're playing, but even with Solaire to help they are the fight that always takes the longest and requires the most patience for me. 4Kings can be a huge pain but I don't consider them to be very interesting or fun, or even difficult... More just like a DPS test...
My favorite is probably Artorias. This is a hard one to decide because many of the good bosses play differently depending on the character/build, but I think Artorias is always fun. He feels very finely tuned and requires good attentiveness, reactions, and patience. Plus its just a cool fight and atmosphere and I love his moveset. I like Manus too usually, and Sif for the atmosphere and story (less so the fight itself).
