They can again add new NPCs, put more content for these 3 new ones from BG1EE and they can fix more bugs and maybe add some more kits and spells. They can play around with UI some more and make it even better. They will again be prohibited from changing anything from BG2 story or characters. They will again only be allowed to add new stuff but not be able to change old ones. I wonder what went thru their mind to get a contract like that in the first place. You're not allowed to change the existing game? Then whats the point of making an enhanced edition. If they are just allowed to add, I consider it a DLC set then…

But for BG2 I got no clue what else they can do. But maybe they surprise us.

There is just not much to do for them in BG2. I can hardly think of anything to improve gameplay- and content-wise. The game is nearly perfect in that regard. I'm right in the middle of another BG2-run and there is no bugs to be found either. They could add fixpack and tweakpack, adress some exploits and tweak some spells and their descriptions but that's about it. Convert to ipad/android/mac and put some widescreen on that and your basically good to go because its the greatest rpg anyways. Whatever they add will probably not do it any justice.

If they are just allowed to add, I consider it a DLC set then… It was worthwhile imo, 640*480 resolution was poor even by 1998 standards so it is good to have modern widescreen support straight out of the box.Other changes like being able to stack more than 20 arrows so you can run rangers without having your whole inventory stacked with arrows is good.Black pits, new classes etc all good additions. I know you can get alot of this stuff in mods but i am talking about making the game accessible to new audiences - if you have to download 20 different mods after installing the game most people won't bother.

Most mages just stand there and don't use protection, the game is feeling trivial at the moment. I found this link to install mods on BGEE and that's it; my knowledge on mods is close to 0

I'm running GOG BG with their recommended mods (BGT, widescreen etc) and everything is working perfectly except for one thing: fullscreen. The widescreen mod has installed fine and as long as I play in windowed mode, it looks great. However, if I go to fullscreen mode (setting it in baldur.ini or pressing alt+tab), it's messed up because the game is set to a high resolution but my monitor automatically goes to 640*480 regardless, so I can only see a small portion of the screen. Does anyone know a fix, or a third party program so I can force my monitor to stay in 1650x1080?

I personally like a lot of the updates, lack of load screens, new characters and such, but they have a lot of work to do. For some reason, ranged attackers will randomly walk up to their targets. It can be reset by reselecting their targets, but that's annoying and a bit ridiculous. I'd wait if you want a polished product, but Overhaul Games is constantly working on it based on the active bug/issues forums. Personally I don't mind wading through some annoyances as long as they remain minor.

I have the original disc sets and am using BGTutu with the widescreen mod so I'm not familiar with that installation. If the game originally loads up as windowed, have you tried undoing the widescreen change and going fullscreen in the in-game options? If that works fine, I'd reinstall the widescreen mod changes with that setup and see how it goes.

I tend to quicksave a lot, and in bgee it is instant. There are still a lot of bugs to be fixed. I think it will be good once people start to mod it. I know a lot of people in here are saying that they do not like mods, but for a game like BG mods really add a lot of improvements and content.
