I am using the bgee installer, not the beamdog client. It also seemed to regress when I clicked it. It went back to 1.7 GB downloaded and is currently downloading at 50 kbs ![]()

You do need to have a beamdog account so that you can pay through beamdog.

Still a sick game so I don't regret buying it again, but I was expecting something more for sure.

Of course 30 fps is much worse in FP games compared to anything else so i hope i can stand it.edit: actually of course i can stand it... just prefer 60 fps that's all ![]()

Mine got stuck on that and the launcher froze so I had to restart it and re-download the last 100 Mb. Got a decent speed after that, 120 kb/s-ish.

I don't know if its the same port for everyone, but you can just find the process ID of your client in your task manager then go to a command prompt and type "netstat -ano | findstr 12345" where 12345 is the process ID. That'll show you the port being used by the connections attached to that process (most of which for me were 52138)

The UI doesn't look much improved (missing hotkeys all around, for instance), the animations feel laggish (game's capped at 30fps, not sure what can be done with such a 2d engine tho), etc. Still a sick game so I don't regret buying it again, but I was expecting something more for sure. Oh but there's much, much more. They had to push the release today because they had already delayed the project, but there is still a lot to be released (and patched, of course). They have a long period of support planned for the game. They were actually taken by surprise by the success of the game, they'll probably expand for the making of BG2:EE.
