Do you know what it's like to make the playoffs every year and lose? Atlanta sports are the ultimate tease Braves, Falcons... expecting to get bounced after the bye week You have no idea what its like to be in a state where the teams are a tease. Wild came back 3-1 in the hockey playoffs twice to win the series and then got swept out a round before the stanley cup, They have never been to the hockey playoffs sense. The timber wolves had gone to the playoffs numerous times (7 straight years) and never were able to do anything of note. This is the same state that had the lakers for decades, how well have they done in LA? The twins have gone to the playoffs more often then not from the last time this city even had a title in the town and then more often then not we get bounced in the first round to the yankees. The vikings have had super bowl winning teams twice in the past decade (2001 where we had the best offence ever till moss went to the pats and then farves first year) and we got screwed in the worst feeling way you've ever seen in your life so hard that the team went into decline and had to be completely rebuilt. the vikings have been to 4 super bowls and have never come even close to winning. we've been a game away again from the super bowl twice in the past deacde. All this and we have to deal with the worst winters in the country.
Preach it, brother. Shit's fucking cold up here. You'd think that we'd bring back a Stanley Cup or two, with hockey being more popular here than in pretty much any other state, but we were royally fucked when those morons moved the North Stars down to Dallas....

What's a super bowl? We've never heard of those in Detroit. Fuck you Bobby layne.

You have the Red Wings man. Be happy with that.

Plus the Pistons dominated the East for 5-6 years in the last decade, and the Tigers are a perennial World Series contender.
Plus we have good college teams.

I'd be happy with the red Wings if they actually were playing :-( Tigers were the worst team ever before they turned it around a bit. Now we're just really good at getting dominated in the world series

What's pissing me off right now is the Romo topic. Am I a Romo lover? No. A hater? No. I dont think hes elite, but he is a pretty damn good QB. Yet the blame is always his. What about the pathetic pass protection? Romo's fault. The atrocious play calling? Romo's fault. The massive amount of injuries on offense and defense? Uh Romo is to blame of course! Jerry Jones still being in control? Must be because of Romo right?
The guy played pretty well all season, and this last game vs the Skins he was hammered and on the run by that defense all night (like he has been all season). People are so quick to overlook the 250+ yards rushing the defense gave up and the lack of protection for Romo. The Romo bashing never bothered me before because the team was playing above him in some instances in the past. But last night the ENTIRE team played horrid and/or was injured. He tries to rally the team by making risky plays to get his team in the game. But often that winds up in a mistake on his part, or someone else on the offense who cant keep up.
My solution:
Get a good offensive coordinator Get protection for the QB Bring torches to Jerrys mansion and force his lame ass out of office and out of the NFL for good.

It doesnt help Tony that he usually makes hallmark flubs like the egregiously bad pick he ended the skins game with. He certainly had major disadvantages like half his team being injured and the skins playing well, but that pick overshadows it all.
So I agree that he gets blamed too much often, but that's the curse of being a QB, and when you factor in the fact that he's 1-6 in elimination games it gets harder and harder not to focus on him personally.

Guess I might as well make my uneducated playoff predictions for the first round,
Houston over Cincinnati Indianapolis over Baltimore Green Bay over Minnesota Seattle over Washington

Yeah it blows me away the rep he gets when some of his stats he has some of the best passer ratings at home and I'm the second half of the season EVER and is constantly dealing with injuries to his team and shitty management/coaching

Bad pass yes. But do you remember why he threw that to begin with? He was under heavy pressure like he was the entire night and tried to get some spark in the offense. Obviously us armchair quarterbacks can say he should have thrown it away, but he made a hair trigger decision, and it turned out bad. Again, because hes running for his life.

Sucks that Whisenhunt got fired when Graves gave him great quarterback talents like John Skelton, Ryan Lindley and Kevin Kolb.

No fucking shit, right? The guy is a good coach, imo. He just had to deal with the worst tackles and QB situation in the league. I think he should get a job somewhere else.

Yeah, I think Romo takes some unnecessary heat for his play. He doesn't exactly help himself out in a lot of situations though. I think the hate is a product of the undue hype that he generated when he first got the starting job in Dallas.

Larry Fitz being stuck on the Cardinals is the single most depressing fact of the NFL.
