Because all my mechs have only 8 slots of space there. 6 are in the LT and RT. That also means that should you lose either torso you'll die, whereas with a standard you can keep on trucking.

Thanks; that makes more sense now.

Woah the hit reg has improved alot since i last played the beta. I have a ping of 130 average and im finally able to hit something thats on the move. Also had a troll in one game today that almost teamkilled me and spoiled my position afterwards to the enemy team. Is there a place to report them? Also feel free to add Sick Ion

Any evidence you can collect (screencaps, time of game, name of player, etc.) helps them track the dirtbag down.
Yeah, the game has gotten massively more stable over time, both in terms of hit detection and bugs/crashes.

Also ammo depends on use... Brawling AC/20 is fine with 3 tons of ammo per gun, unless it's your only weapon, but then you usually can't take more than 3.5 per gun because of your other restrictions...
Otherwise very helpful and informative write-up for some of the new players here.

I'm MeatLoaf , Erish and Rwrz couldnt add you guys by those names dunno why.
I added Yoav , lets see if I we find each other in game someday.

You guys can add me as well, name is "Redoxin". Experienced player with 3k games.

Should we be keeping track of TL players? I know someone here had a skype TL MW group going, but that was many moons ago.
|
I'm Aym in game, I'm usually on the Free World's League TS3 but we invade the NGNG Mondays for Monday Marik Madness, and sometimes tuesdays on the comstar TS for their knock-off night

Weird, I have Erish and Erish II reserved and recenly active. Huh.
Well, once i wanna play some I wanna play in a group, so can you guys gimme directions to TS servers you use? If you don't wanan post IPs here, just gimme a link to their forums/website. I'm so tired of playing this game alone, it's not fun and everytime I bring out my TAG for my Raven, nobody fires missiles, makes me sad panda

If anyone is lookign for a well organized clan, you can go to http://www.skye-rangers.net/. Largely American but also has a European regiment.

looks like a cool game. Sadly my computer is way too bad to run this

IGN: Raddmiral I've only played about a week.

All quite correct. Post edited. I kinda forget about the Gauss existing sometimes. MG is actually more heat efficient than either, too. But everybody forgets that exists.

How much money should one bank before committing to a mech purchase and what kind of planning should be done?
|
http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab This is a tool that allows you to do a full mechlab build on mechs, and shows the price of buying the mech AND modifying it as you have it built. It's a great tool. I prefer mechromancer BUT smurfy shows the price very conveniently.
As for team speak groups guys, seriously, check out www.house-marik.net! We have over a dozen units, active players on the team speak literally 24/7, Euro time zones, oceanic, and of course Americas. As a whole we're not as competitive as some of the clans but we have some try-hards (For instance me, lol).

So this is my first real crack at a MechWarrior game!
I'm kinda try hard-ish and I have tons of free time (with the exception of weekends, when I do my "real work" ), so look for me in game. I'm not sure how to party up with lancemates yet but it would be fun to play with some people from TL. Do you have to be in the same faction to be in the same lance/party/whatever?

I know that factions don't matter as far as teams go in the matchmaking.

To form a group go to the social tab, it's small and in the bottom right corner. Then click "Group" at the top of the bit that comes up. Then "Create Group" at the bottom of that area. Then back to your friends list and click names you want to invite to your group. UI 2.0 will undoubdetly make this much more intuitive, but that's not coming until end of/after summer so best get used to this! I'm Aym in game HMU if you see me, and I'm almost always on the Marik TS3 but I have all the info for NGNG, comstar US, comstar EU, and am happy to join you guys anywhere.

I tried to find marik TS info, but their forum sticky just pointed to NGNG, so I'm idling there, trying to find some gamez.
