Aw don't be too mean. It probably would be useful to have a list of people's profiles.

So I thought it was some video chat web telephone thing. So I was playing with some of my old Kell Hounds. It was just really cool to still be playing with guys I haven't even talked to for years.

Also half the maps have huge problems and the base capturing mechanic is fairly wacked at the moment, but luckily is being changed. LRM's and Gauss are fine. If you don't think so look me up as Aym.

God do I hate it, I'd rather pay 200 bucks a game than this. So F2P garbage like LoL? Or WoT? Cause it's not exactly like either, it has it's own pros and cons.

It also looks like if you buy the highest founders pack you essentially unlock most of the games launch content and future content from the get go.

There are still plenty of balance issues here and there, but it's all good.

I just dont get how they will earn enough money for that growth. I dont see what would force anyone to pay a lot of money for this. Unlike WoT, its very easy to get the best mechs and be competetive without paying or playing a lot. If they do not change that dramatically, noone will pay for this.

Fond memories of MW4 and its "expansion" Mercenaries.. Playing a Daishi with 3 of those shotgun-autocannons that outright 1-shots most mechs or make them topple over. Or kiting the shit out of a Daishi with a Cougar. About the gauss rifle: I remembered that it was fast, but not instantaneous. Kept missing my shots at maximum range -_-

Doing what you suggested leads to a "money for power" type of game which is something most players generally dislike. Many F2P MMOs exist with this model and they tend to live out their product cycle in mediocrity. They seem to have more traction in the asian markets, might be a cultural thing though. The most popular models in the international community seem to be free to play with no requirement of money to enjoy all the core content and be competitive, relegating the monetization to aesthetic upgrades that don't impact gameplay. This can most readily be seen in League of Legends and Team Fortress 2 to varying degrees. Most F2P games are heading in this direction.

Money can get you where you want to be faster, but hard work will get you there eventually. That and 'skins'. I expect purely cosmetic stuff will be available for cash purchase.
