I'm going to look like a douche when they announce naga instead of demons at Blizzcon but ugh, so not sticking around for an underwater expansion. Vash'ir or whatever was not a fun zone.
Vol'jin as leader of the Horde is another hard one to swallow because he's freakin' Vol'jin. He lost his home to murlocs and a naga. Ignoring that he's a blood elf, Lor'themar is my pick even though a non-orc just feels wrong.
I quit going to MMO-Champion because there's this brand of Alliance player that thinks the game is real life and Blizzard owes it to them to make the game 100% about how awesome they are.
And, yeah, as much as the Alliance complains, none of the other Horde leaders besides Sylvanas have gotten much treatement since WC3. I say we bring Rexxar back.

My favorite horse leader got killed. Also, IDK what the timespan of WOW is. I really feel (and have felt) that that they need to end the important storylines in WOW, and make Warcraft IV to clean up the lore so WOW II can be made. MMORPGs are really messy for lore, and especially for creating leaders like Kael, Thrall, etc.
By the way, I miss Kael.

I'm sure some people would consider me a Horde equivalent since I've got my roots in a somewhat Alliance skewed vanilla server as Horde. As much as I complain I'm not too terribly invested anymore, I just want demon hunters and for some in-game NPC trash talk about Malfurion/Tyrande to occur. Bugger those two.
Rexxar is... wasn't the last time he was spotted during the Cataclysm pre-event? Helping Orgrimmar while elementals invaded or whatever. I don't think I've seen him since.

Yeah as much as i agree Vash'Jir looked pretty, fuck that i went Hyjal everytime on my alts due to how awkward i found leveling and moving underwater was just a pure headfuck for me xD I do hope the next expansion is the one that got leaked would be much more exciting than an underwater expansion, but i think if you follow the books isn't the underwater expansion next?

Doubt there will be much/any underwater-ness given how vocal people were about hating the hell out of Vashj'ir. I personally loved it, though, and wouldn't mind another under-water zone (not an entire expansion's worth, however). Trying to catch Mimic Octopus while I type this so I'll just leave it at that.

Anyone that's still playing want to toss me a scroll of resurrection? I was wanting to try out some of the new changes.

Thrall's been pretty much the family man this expansion. He showed up when Vol'jin started his campaign for taking the horde back, helping rescue some trolls and then left for something important. I'd guess he's going to show up next patch and we'll see what he's got going besides being a stay a home dad, probably wont return to being Warchief though.

It makes me really angry that Blizz is pandering to the people who flip out if something different gets in the way of them and their precious quest rewards. Dungeons are so easy these days they're not really worth going into anymore. I think the correct course of action for Blizz is to shut down the official forums and start thinking about things from a gameplay standpoint.

I am a person who's hated questing with a passion in general since vanilla (and hell, any MMO) but Vashj'ir actually kept me mildly entertained. It was one of the better leveling experiences for me. I can see some points why people would hate it though :<

Hear hear. I signed up in the summer of 2005 and hit the level cap for the first time in Cata. Vashj'ir was expertly paced and I never lost interest in the main storyline of the zone. Granted, I was ready to leave when the ships sailed in, but I don't regret finishing the fight, especially considering the spectacle the finale ended up being.
Maybe I should try leveling an alt in an RP server to keep things interesting. Anyone have experience in the general mood of those servers? Nobody's going to crucify me for not doing much more than refraining from saying gamey stuff to people?

Maybe I should try leveling an alt in an RP server to keep things interesting. Anyone have experience in the general mood of those servers? Nobody's going to crucify me for not doing much more than refraining from saying gamey stuff to people? Couple of resources that might help you out:
http://www.warcraftrealms.com/index.php - Census data for realms obtained from players. For reference, I'm playing a bit on my former realm, Shattered Hand, and despite the data showing there are lots of people playing there, it's generally dead most of the week and both sides of the auction house are rather barren. Good place to start when seeing which realms have people on them. This might be subject to change when virtual realms are implemented, so YMMV. There's always a paid transfer or re-rolling later down the line if you change your mind on what the realm "feels like" and how it suits you.
http://www.guildox.com/ or http://www.wowprogress.com/ - Raid rankings overview. Might give you a decent idea of which realms are highly populated that might suit your tastes, for instance it looks like Kirin Tor (EU) is an RP server with a decent population based on guildox and where there are raiders, there are busylazy players who need people to farm raw materials for them so you can make some bank farming raw materials
http://www.reddit.com/r/wow/ - The reddit page moves at a decent pace and can be a good resource for finding a home. Lots of fun happens there, it looks like. I don't go terribly often but it's not as appalling as, say, the D3 forums.
and finally, The official forums - Guild recruitment might be a good place to look, as well as your prospective RP realm's sub-forum if that's the route you choose to take, so you're not going in blind and you might find a group taking new/fresh players that will help get you up to speed so you spend less time out of game and more time playing.
Then! Fansites I find extremely useful:
http://www.wowhead.com/ - database for all things in-game. Also has some guides and an official news front-page. Absolutely fantastic for when you are lost while on a quest or looking for a specific pattern, etc.
http://wow.joystiq.com/ - Joystiq blog aggregate that does a decent job at a number of things but is really more of a way to keep in touch with ongoing events (upcoming patches, machinima, opinion pieces). I used to read it religiously back during Wrath of the Lich King but I find it more fluff-filled recently. Your mileage may vary with this one.
http://www.curse.com/ and http://wowinterface.com/addons.php - Addons! I can't live without them. I use something on the order of 40 right now, though not all of them are active all of the time. Customize your interface, get information where you want it to be so you spend less time staring at your unit frame and more time paying attention to the world around you and the fire beneath you.
Okay, that should get you started. More than you asked for, but I felt it was a good time to just dump it all in one post.

So with all these people picking the game back up, we really should try and get some TL'ers together. I've a 77 alliance lock on Akama that I wanna check out end game stuff with, but I'd be willing to transfer. So who's interested?

I would as well, i have a 80 shaman, 85 hunter and 40 lock or something.. Transfering is no problem at all A TL guild would be really cool.

Last I checked the TL guild was on Ner'zhul but all the officers were MIA. Might just form a new one.

I've got a few hours a week of spare time and I figured why not.
