1) They released an update that installed a kernal driver that continues to run 24/7, even when the client isnt running. This driver has unrestricted access to all of your computers files and folders, it can see everything. Yeah, this always-running-in-the-background kernel driver is nuts... Should only run during the games, and be only allowed to analyze the currently running processes (and even that is questionable, though necessary IMO for anti-cheat).

In my entire life of CS:GO it has never been hard to get kills except on those days where my aim is complete shit and I can't seem to hit anything. However, on those days it feels impossible to kill anything, even bots so yeah... That being said, I'm fairly low ranked (nova 3 atm.) so that might play into it.

Could be due to slight hesitation in regular games as you only have 1 life, where as DM's don't have that much consequences for dying. Just be more confident!

It's much harder to be "in the zone" in a regular game when you have a fair part of thinking and waiting, than in deathmatch where you're just running around rampaging. It's a very common issue, but you'll eventually get used to competitive games and your aim will come closer to your deathmatch standard!

Agreed. In death match you will do well if you run&gun and spray wildly but in MM you have to be patient, hold/peak angles, read position etc. I mean I have fresh memory of a round of DM with a friend where I just jerked around with a P90. It was literally just me never stop running and holding down the fire-button as soon as I spotted an enemy, didn't matter how far away. I went 44-8 in that game, it was ridiculous. If I had done the same thing in MM I would have gone negative for sure. I like playing death match to warm up a bit but that's it.

I usually like to train on training_aim_csgo with 100 targets, delay 0.25, uptime 0.50, and that's good I think for flickshots. One could maybe use very long delays and short uptime to simulate the wait of a regular game

In fact, I'll actually check that when I'll get home, but I think the delay option doesn't go high enough...

I used to have the same issue, where I could get a ridiculous kdr in DM and then when I switched to comp I kept losing duels. What I started doing is spending my DM warmup games standing still and just practicing my crosshair movement---I'd pick two points on my screen and try to move as steadily and accurately between them as possible. Close together, far apart, 180 turns, etc. Between that and trying to land headshots on all the bad guys who wandered into my field of view, I think I got a lot better, even though my DM kdr isn't always that impressive.
Can someone please explain/how water falls with no rain?

Focusing on crosshair placement and trying to at least peek angles like you would in a competitive game is the best way to train in deathmatch in my opinion. Focusing on flickshots or just running around doesn't help you much; it's fun and I love to try stupid stuff in deathmatch (i.e. running around with an awp trying to get the stupidest flicks possible), but you can also use it to learn really valuable things for competitive if you focus on the right aspects. Learning to keep your focus level high in a competitive game can pretty much only be learnt by playing competitive though. I still have issues staying focus more than two games in a row, my aim gets really sloppy after that usually.

I like to do the exact same, in fact I've seen Friberg practice with these exact settings. What is your usual score? I am lucky if I hit 50-55. Friberg on stream said he usually gets 85-95.
