you get motherfucking counter strike that's what you get
totally worth it imo. I haven't played GO yet, but whatever, it's $14 for a game a lot of people are saying is what should have come after 1.6 instead of that source garbage
People bashing cs source really makes me a sad panda . I played cs 1.6 and source during the days when they introduce cgs and all the big cs 1.6 teams were participating in the game . I guess during that time even though it was not a perfect game like cs 1.6 because it lack the difficulty and the wall banging . It didn't failed to be a cs sequel, you can't wall bang a concrete wall in real life unless I believes it's armour piercing ammo you loaded in to the rifle and also spraying was actually fun in cs source . Cs source ain't perfect however it had it's moment where it did shine for a while and thus let me say r.i.p source it was fun knowing you and I had a blast playing the game and trying to be better than just your amateur cs source kid in the town.

The thing is you don't have to make a game realistic to make it fun. Being able to wall through concrete walls is fun as hell.
weeeell I pre-purchased it, still had money on my paypal account from selling D3 items for rl moneyz, and figured why not. I suppose we will see if it was worth it ^_^
Still needs some polishing imo. It's alot better though as i played it on Saturday and it seemed alot smoother, just didn't seem right to me. Oh well i guess i will find out sooner or later. For £10 you cant go wrong either :S

i remember you posting some 1.6related stuff before, got my hopes up they fixed GO when you got so hyped in this thread but i always thought you had beta access. i got the beta for about 3 months now, played real cs since beta 6.5 and all i gotta tell you is youre gonna be disappointed. the game is still shit and the main flaws from css remain (general sloppy feel to aim and movement, still there. even more crap on the maps than in css, still there. random shots all day, worse than playing 32man d2 pubs, still there. i wont buy GO for sure, unless they can prove it can sustain a competitive scene without having to shove millions into tournament prize pools for the first months to push sales and give a shit about it a year after or so. i also really doubt the playerbase will even reach source peak numbers, forget about 1.6 peak numbers lol.
is there a way to trade already activated games like GO beta? if so id just give it to you so you can see for yourself, before you waste money on it

Congrats, you're one of the 5 or so people in the world who think cs source is fun. How about you play some FPS NOT called CS where wall banging isn't possible, and let CS be CS? :/
Seriously, it's confusing when people say "CS: Go needs aspect X, because that was big in CS:S", since the whole point of the dicussion is that CS:Go should be as little as possible like CS:S. Everything which was in CS:S and not in 1.6 should be removed immediately.

Infact let's just go back to 1.3, I WANT TO BUNNY HOP!

I think you're confusing the "point of the discussion" with your opinion in the discussion. Even though I would also prefer CS:GO to be more similar to 1.6, that doesn't make the opinion objectively better. For example, I may think ice hockey is a better game than ball hockey but if he thinks ball hockey is more fun, that's his opinion. If more people think his way than mine, he gets the new facility.
Going to share a protip from cs:go But to the point of asking what you get for $15... you get a game that you could easily spend thousands of hours playing and not really get bored... As community growth and "community" servers evolve you will hopefully see reemergence of zombie, rats, surf, jailbreak and other maps
Really pumped for this game. From what I've seen on youtube it looks really cool + the price is awesome. Any1 can afford 15bucks/12,50 euros for a new counterstrike game.
I hope this game can bring competitive FPS back to it's former glory.

The reason Counter-Strike: GO exists is because CS: Source was a failure, a way newer game, but still never got close to the popularity of 1.6, which even continued after CS:S was released. I mean, some people liked CS:S... but they have CS:S, CS:Go is NOT made for their benefit. It's valves attempt to get the playerbase from 1.6 back, and they won't do that if they make it like CS:S but with slightly better graphics.
