 No big problem, with the amount of lag I have quite surprised I made it almost to cruel. I feel like there aren't enough chaos resistances nodes on the tree, a lot of them are in the witch part, for me as a ranger I can't get them. Don't know how bad it will be in merciless with the -60% resistances. | ||

PoE Default Survivalist Challenge: play using only self found equipment. Rules: i. NO buying gems and/or equipment from players or vendors; ii. NO picking up already identified items; iii. NO using the shared account stash for anything other than storing items. Transfering equipment/gems from one character to another is NOT allowed. iv. CAN sell things for currency to players (who are not doing the challenge) or vendors (so you can craft/improve your self-found gear); v. CAN party up only with others doing the challenge; vi. CAN pick up items assigned to another player if in a group (again, the second rule still applies). You are expected to die. You will die, and have fun doing so (hence why Default instead of HC). Feel free to try it out on HC though. | ||

When killing hailrake (the medicine Chest boss), you should buy a cold res ring from the vendor, also same with merveil, she uses ice spear as well, so you might need 2 cold res rings. just my 2 cents. no expert here. | ||

Cold resist doesn't help to avoid being frozen, but since the freeze duration is based on damage dealt, you will stay frozen for a shorter period. I haven't actually played a non-blood magic class yet. If you really don't want to grab it, you would need at least Mana Flows (2points), which is better than the 3x20% nodes anyway. Increasing your max mana increases your max mana leeched per second (12.5% of max), which will be your main mana source. You will need a mana leech support gem on your main attack. You won't have enough mana to run a high level Clarity anyway, so might as well run Hatred + Determination + Purity with reduced mana. You should probably gab Arcane Efficiency, the 50% armor on the way is good for your build anwyay. You should also use Point Blank for LS. Your build would look something like this, with a lot of life nodes + elemental nodes still up for grab. Edit: Forgot about accuracy.. good luck :-/ | ||

There is a unique pair of shoes that make you immune to freeze...dont know if there are more uniques with that effect. I would just get loads of health and decent resists. Like all status ailments, freeze works of % of max health dealt as damage so if you get loads of health permafreeze shouldnt be a problem. If that still doesnt cut it just get a freeze dispel flask like rebuffering mentioned to break permafreeze. hailrake is a bitch Edit: Damnit i am slow | ||
