I'm wondering at what levels should I be getting Iron Reflexes and Blood Magic?
IRC - #TLExiles Since there is no clan function in game yet.

Quite early on actually, because of the heavy mana cost(if you link your attack gems) you want BM fast(around 30ish). I just ''rushed'' for Iron Reflexes.

Actually the attack speed on that bow blows. I can't believe he bought that ^_^
5L is more important than mods
finding 2 Orbs of Fusing is a whole lot easier than finding a 5L item or making one
mods can be rerolled
sockets and links are what make a character. mods are a bonus.

Ci put you on 1 life. Low life is 35% of hp. You can never be on low life with CI. Dont allocated 111 skill points, you will never get to lvl 100. Allocate 70 or so. Thats when you will be in the final difficulty and your build has to be good by then. Normally you dont want to spec in to two elements, its not effective. You can use two spells from different elements until you get an elementa curse. You dont want to take CI until you have very good gear. So take some life % passives as you level and respec them later. You put a build together but you dont mention your spell combo. It's very important to plan. If you want an easy spell build with lots of damage go Spark + Fork. I can recommend this: BUILDUse Spark + Fork + Faster casting or Spark + Fork + Lightning Penetration. Arc + Spell totem as support, or Spark + Fork + Spell totem. Clarity and Discipline as auras. Late game: Lategame Build
Thanks for the input ^.^ really have no idea what im doing.

I think it's based on your skill gem and then multiplied by (1 + #).
So if fireball is 7% base from the gem, +100% crit would take be 7% * (1 + 100%) = 14% crit.
You can check this in your character pane, select fireball and the offensive tab will show crit %
Also make sure you have +crit% and not +crit dmg

Hey guys I have a quesiton So the skill called Adder's touch it says you increase crit chance wielding a dagger, and also adds poison damage when you crit with a dagger. Does this proc if you use a spell while wielding a dagger?

No, it specifically says "with a dagger." You didn't crit with a dagger, you crit with a spell.
It only applies to both if it doesn't specify whether it is weapon or spell damage.

Okay, so I just downloaded Path of Exile, any recommendations on what character I should play? (I played loads of Diablo 2, I played the Barbarian, Amazon mostly, also only play hardcore) and with that any recommended builds would be great because I have no idea what the hell im doing ^^;
|
Marauder and Ranger are pretty intuitive and speccing them is pretty forgiving if you aim to play them as traditional warrior & archer classes respectively.
|
How is the templar in terms of how well he'd do solo? Since I plan to play hardcore I dont want to build something that's bad at fighting alone :s
|
Classes only differ in their initial stat allotment and where they start on the passive skill tree (I hope you have looked at it?).
As such, it all depends on how you build your character with skill gems and the passive tree. Templar will be a fine choice if that is what you want.

With no prior knowledge of the game, you probably won't have an idea of what skills you want to use and that makes it hard to suggest a class. The reason for this is that there is actually very little variance in the classes, aside from where they start on the large Passive Skill Tree. You can make wonky things like caster Marauders work, but it takes some tweaking, min-maxing, and very refined gem usage.
Since you're going in blind and planning to do Hardcore, I would recommend playing as cookie cutter as you can for your first character. This way you run less risk of screwing yourself over with bad passives or getting really unlucky with your gear and gem drops. This means Marauder = melee/2h, Duelist = melee/1h&shield, Ranger = bow, Shadow = daggers/claws, Witch = caster, and Templar = caster/1h&shield. This is not the only way to play these characters, not by a long shot, but is probably the most forgiving and easiest for new players to pick up and handle well.
You'll be confined by what skill gems and items you have access to at first, and you will probably die, but you will build up a stash of consumables and useful items, as well as a working knowledge of the game mechanics and how you like to play. Every time you start over in Hardcore, you'll have a better idea of which class to start as and what you are trying to shoot for.
But if you played a lot of Diablo 2, you already know the secrets of playing Hardcore successfully...namely prioritizing survivability (health, armor, energy shield passives) over anything else and being extremely smart and careful about how you approach every situation, especially when you have no idea what the mobs are capable of in advance.

LOL The bandit quest in act 2 is the BEST thing about the game so far. I've betrayed so many groups now and helped the bandit leader kill them. First time I did it on accident and all 4 players typed WTF as I flickerstrike omnislashed them to death with the boss. SO GOOD.

Just made a witch and am lvl 5 only. Haven't skilled anything yet. Are summoner witches OP? Or is the CI + element spell the most OP?
