I was going to say the same. Its a craft league thats very expensive to craft but the high end is going to be wicked.
BAMA has gone very well. Acts with NecroSRS was cake but making the transision to bama was a struggle. Day 2 was white map suffering but early blight was a godsend for chaos recipes. After getting a few chaos I have been able to make the switch and its gone really really well.
What made the switch feel good?
Just shy of maps; ran normal lab ~10 times to get both BAMA gems and swapped from Spectral Throw to impale BAMA. Need to craft a better bow and get a few Ghastly Eyes.
Just had to get used to the different mindset of the skill. Tossing out the clones a screen away and then going in a different direction from them. The damage from the skill is intense and bossing with it is great, the interaction of blink arrows to get clones to then get haste spinning takes some time but you just have so much time then to move and keep yourself alive inbetween. Its like the difference between shooting a gun and just spinning plates while running.
I think the two critical things before I would tell anyone to make the transition is to get the bow node that lowers blink and mirage arrow cooldown by 100% and then getting 20 GCP's to push down the Mirrow arrow cooldown on the gem by another 40%. once you get those two down it push's things a lot faster.
Getting good life/more damage if used minion skill recently/added minon lightning damage jewls is going to bankrupt me. when I can get a 6link to add lightning pen things are going to be zoomy.
Reached already level 90 yesterday playing IceNova of Frostbolts Archmage. I really missed playing mana builds, they are one of my favourites archetypes.
This league sounds fun for trying different builds. Selfcast is better, spectres too, lot of transfigurate gems to try. Now, maybe someday they will improve melee...
now... the necropolis league mechanic has been underwhelming so far. It seems they are going to improve it in next patch. But I like the new atlas, you can 100% force any league mechanic you want. I get sulphite all maps while I am just completing my atlas so I don't have to bother anymore with master missions or targeting niko. I'm going down deep in Delve right now.
I'm pretty lukewarm about the actual mechanics of this league. In terms of long-term crafting reward it (post-patch) feels pretty good getting corpses, but I find myself not getting to the old state of just being high enough dps and survivability to do red maps 'til 95-96 with brain off.
Now you can be more durable than before, but still get flattened because you failed to notice a pack of mobs that were 800% crit multi and 50% crit chance on a map that had 110% extra damage as cold, so you just get horribly flattened by their salvo, where nothing else in the map even touched you. It makes for jarring, uneven difficulty where just seeing that a map isn't reflect damage or a singular mod that handicaps your build isn't enough to ensure survival.
Adding on top of that is how tempting it is to further juice your maps with the new cheap AF scarabs. Maybe I should stop doing that...
Yeah this league just isn't clicking with me and I don't know. I'll probably give it another go in a few days but I really don't like the new scarab system, the random difficulty spikes in maps fustrates me to no end, and graveyard crafting just seems shitty to deal with I don't know.
Not really sticking with me, either, though that's not helped by performance issues (I actually can't delve due to losing control of my character and running off into the dark / being unable to take corners, lol). Tried deleting shaders, switching between DirectX/Vulkan, turning off sound in the config file, but I think my computer's finally too old to keep up.
I haven't played that much this league either, but I'm not sure that's really related to the league itself. I haven't really had an issue with difficulty spikes (i.e. have barely noticed any). I have a relatively tanky character, so I'm sure that helps.
I do agree it's on the tedious side to move around things when opening a map, and it's especially annoying when dealing with GMP since it's hard to know which enemies have projectiles since I don't have an encyclopedia knowledge of every monster in the game. I feel binary things like that simply shouldn't have been included; if it can be completely negated from just moving around a box, why have it at all? Things like extra damage will always have some impact so those make sense in this system, but on/off ones don't.
Anyway, I much prefer the new scarab system to the old sextant system. I think they probably missed with balance in several areas, particularly with how some mechanics interact with things like stuffing enemies into chests. I expect to see some of that iterated on in the future.
I mostly like the idea of the crafting, still not sure how much I like it in practice. Seeing what other people are doing, they probably buffed it too much. I think probably they should increase the storage of the morgue now that everything is freely itemizable. Right now if you want to just blast maps for awhile you're going to need to take breaks to store everything in your stash and the current size of the morgue is a bit lacking.
Overall I'm probably just reaching the point where I'm a bit tired of POE and that's why I haven't had as much drive to play.
I probably overplayed last league a bit. Now my Atlas sits at 108 or a lil less and I would have to make my Necro endgame ready. I just don't feel it atm. It's not even a currency thing, it's a plain... I don't feel like resocketing/coloring half my gear or trade for "ok" rares just to farm more currency (or corpses) to get really good ones.
league start is ok with me but I'm starting to be a bit bored of my starter and i would like to do something that can do T17 map but I have no clue what :[
something that do dex or int stacking would be fun, or something else stacking (no str tough).
In my opinion this is the best SSF league yet. Currency you find is good, the new atlas is so much better and you actually have projects that have a chance to work and take quite some time, but are insanely good, so it's fun. Like, I'm collecting corpses a lot and try to craft items that I always wanted to have.

Hopefully i find something before saturday.
Im kinda in the same boat. Playing a private league and am not sure if I can realistically get my DD of Chaining Necro to the point where she can do T17, since I basically have no recovery prior to Defiance of Destiny, which I probably wont get in the league. So yeah, any pointers as to what kind of build is a good choice for a pretty SSF environment to go for T17s would be appreciated. :D
See Steelmages build, Frostbolt + Ice Nova of Frost Archmage builds can do it. I'm in SSF with not that good items and I'm doing T16s with pretty mid gear, can def do T17 if I tried improving my items. With Kitava's Thirst, which is optional and I think not really good, the build is also one of the easiest builds you can play. I can map with my mouse only pretty well.
Heist guys and Expeditions guys travel by boat to meet up at some island for some crazy shit. Been a while since I played PoE, i think I quit the league abourt 3-4 weeks in and haven't played since.
