Just watched the announcement. Sentinel looks fine I guess? I'm not interested in the new boss fights as I barely touch bosses as is. I think this is the league to skip for me.

works out for me tbh, cus I quit early, but for active players seems like a bit of a wash. I think massive balance shifts (e.g. Flask change, defense reworks) every few months is probably too much. However, skill gem rebalancing / tree changes / other minor-ish things I think is healthy. It injects new life into the game and inspires people to new potential builds. You could argue that those things already exist hidden away, but its kinda hard to sus those out

They don't have to entirely shake up the meta.

Also as for balance changes, they could leave the majority unchanged and still do changes that make things worth considering. Make unpopular Ascendancys (like Trickster) interesting again and change or buff some of the skills are are both mechanically and number wise bad.

24 challenges in Sentinel might be harder than 38 in Archnemesis, oof.

Yeah, Archnem challenges felt pretty ... achievable (i actually went all the way for the first time ever and got 40/40), but the sentinel ones look rough. I do love that they stepped away from the "shitty effect / some gear piece / portal on 12/24/36" formula tho. Going beyond 36 felt rewarding for the first time to me. Balance wise i dont care too much. The last leagues i played 1-2 chars per league, and there is soooo much stuff i never played, meta or not. I could actually randomly chose between omni stuff (LS or TS on ranger), DD ignite, phys traps, summoner in variations i never played, EA totems... i didnt play any of these meta builds yet. Didnt use omni or ashes of the stars last league. And i feel the atlas tree shakeup will provide plenty of freshness combined with whatever the league mechanic provides. Sure, for mathil type of players that plays a bazillion chars each league no skill changes at all may be problematic. But i could probably still play 10 leagues worth of "new for me" skills. Right now i have a bunch of POBs ready and will just pick one on league start. LS does sound like a really nice pick tho, and i can`t remember playing a strike skill since... whenever molten strike still had the old old jewel and was super OP. Not sure if i´d go with zerker or champ tho.

only issue with LS is that you really should start with spectral helix, up into white-yellow maps. so have to be OK with playing that skill. Personally I love it but it some people find it strange I'm actually going to try out an endless heist / blueprint farming strat with TR raider. might be degenerate but Im kinda looking forward to it lol

Current plan is to leaguestart Creeping Frost Inquisitor and farm up Astral Projector div cards from Bone Crypt/Crystal Ore, a source of Brittle (Galesight / Alternating Sceptre, though I guess I could luck into The Interrogation / Leadership's Price) and a Shaper shield for +1 totems then switch to cold Shockwave Totems (as Inquis rather than Heiro).

THIS is a decent vid explaining and showing it. Dude has pretty decent content in general imho. TLDR/W : You can now list fragments/maps per seller, and /w them for example for all 4 shaper fragments. Separate sliders for each item, and the copy&paste whisper function will automatically add everything up and put your request in a single sentence. As in : "Hey, i`d like to buy your 2 fragment of X, 1 fragment of Y, and 3 fragments of Z for 164 chaos",

They were great - I actually grew up within a few hours drive of them but never went as "they were for tourists", but with borders being closed they were less crowded than they had been in the past. Great to see glow worms, limestone formations and cave weta, though much less dangerous IRL than in Delve ![]() Gotten to play a bunch of the league - rares are certainly tankier, especially e.g. possessed Essence mobs, but can't really connect with the Reddit hysteria. In SSF; hit T16s but haven't gotten around to Conquerors/Guardians/etc yet - was trying the poor man's favourite map system by only having one T7/T9 unlocked to try to grind out the Astral Projector div card, which is a boss drop from Bone Crypt / Crystal Ore. According to TraXile I've run 64 of them with only two cards so far :/ Back to the drawing board ...

The loot explosions from using good sentinels (most using blue and red) is just so satisfying and honestly its fun to run some maps duo with a friend because you end up being able to sentinel almost the entire map. Also I found a mirror on the first day lol(haven't sold it) but excluding that this has been my most profitable league ever by a country mile I think i'm around 8 dropped ex and at least 1 sharded from harb. The Atlas skill tree is all new to me but it might be the best thing they ever added to the game its great. I'm running shrines/exiles/harbs/lockboxes I was running essences but I was getting tired of fighting they beefed up versions. Really I just picked the league's that I liked/some of the old school things. What type of atlas tree's are you guys running?

Lately I'm delving often and I'm depth 210 right now. I want to reach 500 at least (never reached 300 before). In addition Delve is useful for leveling (I'm level 92 right now) because it is impossible to level for me in maps. Essences enconters kills me too often with the archnemesis mods (and my encounters often are duplicated foes with 6 or 7 essences each one). When I get tired of delve maybe I will reroll a new character focused on boss damage and I respec the atlas tree to guardians, invitations, eldritch shrines, etc. So far I like the league, reddit as always overreacting too much.

I also didn't have the time to play around with PoB so I just went full meta and copied some PoB... Playing DD now and it feels like the good starter I remember it as back when I played it last time in Bloodlines. I didn't expect Sentinel to be an actual league but it is. :o As for the atlas idk. Rushed strongboxes, now Expedition.

As for the league mechanic, the blue ones are great for loot, the red ones are good too. Like pretty much everyone else I don't use the orange ones since they make more problems than good. And then there are recombinators, which are pretty busted but you need some luck I guess. Definitely a nice addition.

Reddit is truly insane sometimes - archnem mods were unbalanced but people are acting like the entire game was imploded and GGG killed their dog. sentinels are fun enough, but I feel like they will only keep recombinators, and dump the sentinel system.
