Updated my builds and I gotta say it's likely I'll start with the ignite build, although FP totems is also looking interesting to me. My Poisonous Concoction approximation build is the last build I converted, and I really like the utility of the masteries, but eh the dmg doesn't look too hot - I mean the number is decent but getting there takes some rampup time as it's usually the case for poison builds I guess.
Also poison melts your CPU. I remember complaining about low fps a few days into the league. I later realised when I switch between my chars that only my Cobra Lash char was having these issues...
I can't update my PoB btw. or do you need to do that manually?

You should be getting an update, unless you weren't using the community fork which would be a problem since a long time since the regular POB is not getting updated much.
The trees however changed much and you'll have to redo most of them. I had one build that crashed when I tried to load it, maybe that's what you mean?

After some testing, "mana reservation efficiency" really is a lot better than previous "less mana reservation" at low inversion (if you are a aura bot or aura stacker is a lot worse).
Before if you allocated the sovereignty wheel you got 14% reduced mana reservation. Now you get in that same wheel (with the mastery) 43% reservation efficiency that according to PoB is the equivalent to 30% of the old reduced mana reservation.
Chaoslinger looking good for now, altough I'm still concerned about the previous league changes to mana cost on triggered spells.

But: You can use a mana flask to fix the problem, and you most likely will have to - and an Enduring Flask will solve the problem. Much like Darkee's Toxic Rain build which is very mana hungry, he's using 2 mana flasks last I checked.

Can see that a new mastery give +3 level to critical support gems. Can't see any gems with that tag, anybody how knows what gems get it.

Thanks, the mastery seems good, especially if you plan on using inspiration support as it get pretty massive improvement of mana spend before charges are lost.

its massive for awakened CoC. +3 gem levels increases the CDR. I don't really like playing CoC builds tho, don't feel like mathing out the breakpoints xD

I the 3% chance for triple damage in two hand not just 9% more damage.

On October 19 2021 20:53 Sapaio wrote: I the 3% chance for triple damage in two hand not just 9% more damage. Basically I guess, but a little more inconsistent and triple dmg is better for stun when it happens... ^^
Also for anyone doing an ignite build, keep in mind the gems weren't updated yet, while the ignite damage multiplier increase was. The damage in PoB is a lot higher than it should be for most fire gems such as Fireball, Incinerate and Flameblast.

Has anyone found anything that makes "Bane-LL-Occultist" sound unreasonable this league? So far i think i start with it. You can maybe even fit an Aura more into it than last league.
|
Not really, sounds like a good and fun build. I guess the build might be pretty expensive this league, lots of people will play chaos/poison builds and ES items and Shavronne's Wrappings will be more sought after than usual, and the later should be more rare considering the map where the div card for it drops the most got removed.

Good point, thank you. I was wondering why my ignite dps shot up x3 on spells that got adjusted. I was playing with some melee skills, too, though and those aren't affected and look pretty decent actually. I definitely won't start with Bleed Bow though. I hope I can still play it later but until the radii for jewels are not adjusted, it might get a big hit because all the big notables might be out of range of Lioneye's now...
I was able to update my PoB after I unchecked the box for "beta trial" on a hunch btw...

I want to do a Mjollnr build with the new shield.
I started playing back in the day when Mjollnr was an amazing build, but i sucked and was never able to get to the point where i could have a functional Mjollnr build. By the time i was easily reaching endgame, Mjollnr was already not very good anymore, and i've always wanted to give it a try.
I onlt tend to run a single character in a league. Does anyone have any idea what will end up being the best class to be using Mjollnr+the new shield in the endgame?
|
Inquisitor or Elementalist, probably Inquisitor. With Inquisitor you can ignore enemy jresists, go hybrid life / ES with Glorious Vanity (Doryani) and have a ton of hybrid regeneration, enough to go perma Righteous Fire for extra spell damage if done right. But tbh I don't know how much investment Mjolner is these days and if you can even do what I described, but with good gear I'd guess so, and honestly I would expect both the new shield and Mjolner to be really expensive anyway (Mjolner still is T1 rarity afaik, if just couple hundred people wanna use it it's gonna be expensive). The shield has way more good uses than just Mjolner too, for example Poet's Pen.

If I use stormfire ring with a skill that deal both fire and lightning damage. Would the ignite be calculated as one big ignite or two smaller ignites with only the biggest dealing damage?

Would the ignite be calculated as one big ignite or two smaller ignites with only the biggest dealing damage? I take it the question is for non-elementalist, since with that one everything ignites. If so, if both damage types are applied at the same time, it should be one big ignite.

Regarding the new shield rippling thoughts seems like a fun choice with it.

I want to try the new shield with Arakaali spiders, but probably I will wait for a second character.
