Not being able to leave maps (which means the map is closed if you go outside, like it happened for you) can also be a result of playing a map, then going to delve/temple outside of the map and then going back to the map. And yes, the atlas missions tend to spawn on maps where you don't want them to be which is quite annoying.

Nah, it happened a few times when I finished the boss and every mob and wanted just wanted to leave the map. Relog is just a very minor annoyance in that case. It was more annoying when I did a labyrinth challenge within a map and couldn't finish the map afterwards because I was unable to return through the portal... It also means I can't vendor or grab currency for a strongbox during a map.

This is my first time using the market system for rares and I have no idea how to price things. Looking up similar items on the market is tedious and not entirely accurate either. Let's also focus only on armor and belts for now, because that is generally what I've been picking up and trying to sell. For example, I have a belt that is corrupted, 130 total health added, two resistances at 40%, and some other relatively minor mods like stun recovery and such. How many chaos would this be worth? Is that above the minimum selling level? What about a belt that is 90 life, 40 strength, and two 30% res?
I guess to summarize my question better (or rather restate it from the top), how does one price items and know what is the minimum stats required to make it worthwhile? I'd be willing to sell things that are 3c and more. The only way in the long term is looking up similar items and getting a feel for the market over time. Whenever you see an item that combines a T1-2 defensive stat and 2 or more T2+ stats, stop for a second and give it a quick check that's not too narrow in scope. The trick is being smart about what "similar" means and getting a feel for the pricefloor of items (so you can quickly sort things into trash/will sell/will sell for a lot). Take your first belt, on instinct I'd say 3-5c at this point, 5-10c in the first week in HC. A quick check puts it around that range in HC. In SC however it's basically worthless. Super easy to judge in general is the type of item we're talking about here: X+ total life/es, Y+ total res, done. Most other mods are irrelevant there, we're reducing the item to "one defensive stat + resists" after all. Work from there and other things that make the item valuable on top. Depending on the slot e.g. movespeed, int/dex/str, added damage or specific bases add value pretty much exponentially. Where the money is is in recognizing when other stats or specific bases add a lot of value. Remember the belt you just mentioned? Those stats on a Stygian (only possible with a str roll) and we're entering exalt territory, even in SC. Analogue for rings for example: 40 ES, 40 Dex, 25+ res: completely worthless. Same stats on an unset ring and now we're talking. In HC that'd be an easy great sale by itself, in SC it seems to need some extra to enter the really juicy territory. You also need to recognize when dropping prices is crucial to selling an item for its proper value or when dropping your price will do nothing but lose you money. In general, the more pricey/specific an item the more it holds value just like in RL.

Alva buffs up like once every minute but it has limited range so you need to be quite close

Its to unclear that you need to stand near the crystals if you havent seen the fight before yes. That is my biggest complaint about it. Lack of visual clues what to do next.

I could imagine that the fight is pretty horrible for melees.

I thought they patched in improvements to knowing what to do and some visual enhancements. I have only done it once way back at league start and yeah the first try was really frustrating. Did those changes not go in?

I did it yesterday for the first time and I had trouble finding the correct pylon at first because in the first round I disabled the nodamage debuff accidentally and after that I died twice running to the pylon with the damage field around it. I also only found out that I had to run to a pylon because I put the cursor above the debuff and read the text. After dying twice I googled a video because I feared I would mess it up and lose all progress. I'm kind of glad I'm playing SC this time, lol.

Trundling along in SSF at 31 challenges; aiming for 36. Any tips for farming up Mortal fragments so I can knock out the two Uber Atziri challenges? Ran all my Sacrifice sets, spammed the other fragments in the map device trying to get more Midnights as well as running a bunch of Vaaled City Squares/Vaal Pyramids etc for fragments from the bosses, but I'm sitting at 5 Grief/3 Ignorance/3 Hope/0 Rage zzzz. I think I was spoiled the last few leagues with Tier 3 Museum of Artifacts / random Delve item chests and div cards  Had Korrell 3 in Fortification a bunch but hasn't dropped anything other than Sac frags. Finally assembled enough splinters for an Uul-Netol Breachstone - guessing I should remove my bleed immunity flask for the fight to get the challenge ... the corrupted blood comes from the adds, right? Down at depth ~370 still looking for my first Delve boss, too. Only at 20/40 Research chests; need to prioritise getting the likes of Vagan and Elreon in there
Also, finally knocked out a goal I've had for a while in SSF - finding and running Perandus Manor. Last league I ran an ungodly amount of Elder Ivory Temples trying to get a set of The Mayor after getting a few from Armourer's Strongboxes but didn't have any drop; this league I spammed Zana's Perandus mod and finally the fat man offered me the map when I'd farmed up about ~12K coins (only other notable offer was a Taste of Hate for about that much when I was at ~6K; picked up a Heretic's Veil for 1.6K beforehand and an Eye of Chayula for ~.8K inside the map itself). Might be a bit of a stretch going for full Atlas completion with Vinktar Square - I've only had one of the Agnerod staves drop, and I'm not sure if Rin in Research can drop the likes of Vinktar/Perandus/Machinarium.
