I considered doing Spectres but from what I read, you are supposed to refresh them periodically as you level up and there are a lot of different options for which ones to get and I basically had information/option overload and decided to go with something that is even more braindead than that, because that's how I like to play ARPGs.
Here is my low budget mega-braindead Necromancer if anyone wants to take a look:

I am considering removing some of the minion health and/or damage nodes to fill the big health ring by Scion/Marauder for myself as I get better gear with more minion-specific stuff on them. I'm not sold on Mont'regul's because of that damage reduction perk in ascendancy being Zombie count-based. Basically, this build is very far from optimized, very far from being great, but is most definitely cheap and most definitely brain-dead easy, if anyone is looking for that.

Looking neat, however I doubt we'll find that many so I don't see the Doctor card being a lot easier to get which a lot of people are hyped for atm. I'm more hyped about more Breaches and the other ones anyway since I don't plan to play SSF next league.

I think he meant the div card ones or anything that helps "focus farm" specific things will really help SSF players that can't just buy cheap cards (or whatever else) on the market. Since he's playing trade that doesn't matter as much, but breaches and anything else to just spice up a map are always fun.
I haven't been keeping a super close eye on all the new league stuff, but I am excited. No clue what to play, and very very strongly considering jumping right into SSF at league start. Would be a first for that, usually I just try an SSF char after a league is 1-2 months old and I'm bored of what I'm doing on trade league. But whether or not I'm doing SSF will probably determine what to play early on so I need to make up my mind D:

Exactly what Duka08 said. I actually enjoyed SSF a lot, however I wanna play trade again next league since I wanna try some specific builds which I probably couldn't play in SSF until ~ 1+ month in.

Thank you. Can someone briefly explain to me the perks of SSF? Or provide a link, of course. I get the basic idea but I have never seen a list of specific benefits if there are any, or the reasons why people opt for this path.
I played my necromancer pretty much as SSF so I'm wondering if there are any mechanics in being officially SSF that are worth considering.

1. If you are experienced, attaining great gear and defeating endgame content is relatively trivial and can be achieved in relatively short time. SSF has a more profound sense of progression.
2. I like to try maintaining a good position on the ladder, but I mostly play solo. This puts you at a disadvantage compared to players who effectively utilize partying or receiving gifts.
I'll probably play trade during betrayal tho.

If you already play alone and don't trade then you're basically playing SSF anyway. It just forces those of us who have less self control lol.

Looks like you'll at least be able to attempt to farm the type you're after:
Scarabs drop in Betrayal Safehouses from the chests in the living quarters of specific Immortal Syndicate members. There are three tiers of each Scarab (Rusted/Polished/Gilded), which correspond to the three ranks that Syndicate members can have. So these do require some effort to get, but with careful Syndicate planning, you can try to engineer it so that you get several per Safehouse run.
Not a bad way of quasi-bringing Leaguestone-style mechanics into the core gameplay - I can imagine in SSF if I'm trying to grind my way towards HoWA or The Perfect Form and there's no Zana mod, a Scarab isn't a bad consolation prize (that being said, I think ~60% of my breachstones in Delve were from card turnins from Abyssal cities).
Grats to the winners of the private league!

CoC got nerfed like right before I started playing the game ""seriously"" in 3.0. Definitely excited, always something I've been curious about but never bothered touching after the change.

Damn that change is really really huge.

What's the probability of Zerphi's getting dumpstered next patch, you think?
