Or does it even matter? US or EU people just use different servers, but either can join the games, just the latency will be worse.
Active gems use support gems no matter the order, as long as it's possible (the game shows if it is nowadays). This game is pretty hard without a guide, but if you wanna learn it without that's pretty fun too. Also the ingame guide is legit. In general focus on something, like if you pick a cold spell, pick up cold/elemental damage and spell damage and life nodes (don't mess with Energy shield too much as your first char I'd say, but having some is OK). Important to note is that this game is pretty precise with the words, if you use an attack, you will need to get attack support gems, same with spells.
As for your last question, if you're new I'd say do the Delves if they aren't too hard. You'll get some exp and gear to make the base game easier.

Thx for the answers...
I follow the guide im linking. Arc witch. Seem to work very good so far. Only a few death because i didn't know boss mechanics... I'm jugling with the gem setup since i cant fit all the gems in the guide in my items... Dont know how important that is compared to item stats. Trying to balance it all out =)

on your main skill, the additional linked gem slots is more important than stats. You can most of the time get the baseline needed (capping resistances, a bit of life) stats elsewhere. Have fun!

I'm considering making some kind of self-cast spellcaster build using:
- Trickster
- Disintegrator
- Indigon
Idea is to cast spells fast, building up lots of Indigon damage, recover mana with Weave the Arcane, and scale damage by multi-converting the added phys from Disintegrator to take advantage of Harness the Void.
What spell would be a good option for this? Something that's decent for both single target and clear, benefits from added damage well, and isn't unplayable when self-cast. Arc? Ball Lightning? Freezing Pulse? Spark? EK?

If anyone's an RF vet would appreciate some quick input on this char. Just bought the helm, not ideal but wanted to see how much the 5L helped. Keeping an eye out for a good marble amulet with resists/life and then long term 2x Koam's Way probably but they're INSANELY expensive right now because RF got popular right after I made this guy I think idk lol. Just feel like I'm hitting a damage fall off around monster level 75 or so in the Delving and I'm not well versed enough with RF to know where my biggest jumps would be, other than the slow upgrades of gem levels and small life nodes on tree.

* The boots are suboptimal. Your options for a 23 PoF are those boots, a +2 unset ring or - ideally - pushing so you're fine with a lvl 20 one. Your endgoal is running all 3 purities as Jugg. I'm pretty sure your current build needs neither the 23 PoF nor the amulet to sustain. More HP (and hence more str) equals more damage. * Use MoM, add a Divination Distillate. There's free Quant/Rarity on the ground right there. * Tree looks fine apart from that. * The balefire is more of a levelling weapon since it does nothing to boost your RF damage. Your goal should be a shaper scepter with ele focus, high total fire damage and Leo DoT craft. Until then any high fire dmg scepter should do the trick, ~100% total damage should be rather easy to get. Doryanis for example can get up to 130%. * Goal for the belt should be an elder one with life recovery. Until then, moar life. * Regarding the helm, it's decent - the goal should be a horror crafted one on top of the conc. * Delirium gloves are technically an option for scorching ray if you really want to but you're prolly fine without.
tl;dr: Ditch boots, ditch amulet, use lvl 20 PoF / PoI, use MoM + Divination Distillate, ditch balefire. Moar life, more damage.

Not sure if I agree on MoM Evo (It does seem like a decent plan as long as you blood magic everything else - but I wouldnt want to run out of mana and be unable to cast SR or even worse, shield charge.
I can't stress enough what a fucking big difference the elder belt ist. get one with as close to 20% life recovery rate as possible. It actually doesnt even matter wtf else is on there. Its just THAT good.
If you feel you need more sustain, you can also get "life regen while moving" abyss jewels. They can get pricey too, but that mostly depends on the other stats on it. Something along the lines of 0.8 to 1.0 life regen is worth quite a lot.
Weapon wise, yeah. Doryianis is a pretty neat weapon, but right now still at ~45c on sc. Halfway decent shaper weapon might not be that much more expensive.
Edit: The boots are actually quite okay right now imho - they enable EE on shield charge. Remember you still need some added cold or lightning on rings/amu if you change boots, otherwise you will actually lose out on a lot of damage.
Edit2: https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Delve/9kbb8RIK as a example query for abyss jewels, should the need arise

but I wouldnt want to run out of mana and be unable to cast SR or even worse, shield charge. You just BM all of it, the idea is that you're permanently out of mana with just a few points unreserved so you have Divination Distillate active all the time. That turns everything the flask gives into health regen since it never stops being active due to your mana never filling up. An effective +650 regen/second is nothing to scoff at, it probably doubles his regen at his current level.
Also free quant/rarity! And 4% extra max res. Getting that flask in there is probably one of the best things you can do overall.
Weapon wise, yeah. Doryianis is a pretty neat weapon, but right now still at ~45c on sc. Halfway decent shaper weapon might not be that much more expensive. Random weapons with 90%+ fire dmg are a few chaos on SC. Pick one that you can craft Leo DoT on, congratulations: ~120% RF damage for basically nothing.
Edit: The boots are actually quite okay right now imho - they enable EE on shield charge. Low life, no res (which enables life elsewhere which is more damage). Getting a bit of ele damage somewhere else isn't that much of a challenge, absolute worst case you get it on a jewel - or via orb of storms for singletarget at least.

I kinda totally forgot about the max res. It just seems like an overall great idea, you're right.

I knew there would be lol, I didn't mean to imply I thought my char/gear was actually great, it's mostly my first "blitz" of currency to get the character going and I just didn't know where the next biggest upgrades should be, other than the insane and expensive shaper/elder stuff.
The MoM+Distillate is really interesting! I'm surprised I haven't stumbled across that anywhere. I like the idea, the max res, and quant as a bonus is pretty neat. Might move a few points around later to try that (should I get the mana nodes behind it too?).
Priorities will be a weapon that actually helps RF dmg, and the elder belt with life recovery. I didn't know enough about how much SR would contribute to the damage so the balefire option looked appealing at first, but now that I'm playing the build I want it all to be RF lol, it cruises through Delves, super fun. After that boots with more life+res will help balancing everything for sure, I'm just leveling a PoF in my weapon swap and might wait until that's 20 first (was the main reason the boots looked appealing since I didn't switch to RF until I finished A10 and some of the gems were pretty underleveled). I'm not worried about the ele dmg to proc EE, I can get that on future amulet or a bit on an Abyss jewel or something.
You mentioned all 3 purities being a goal/option down the road. Would that be after getting rid of Vitality and running all 3 with Enlighten? Sounds like a very long term goal lol, but an extra purity now to help with resists would be really nice, can sacrifice some of it on gear for more raw life like you said. But even now for an extra purity I'll need to drop Vitality. Maybe it's not as important as I thought?
Thanks a bunch for the input guys this is great info. I'm enjoying the build a lot more than I thought I would, when it actually drops mobs in half a second. Probably thanks to the Delving, good density in narrow corridors. Super fun. Was just curious what to do next when it felt like I started hitting a wall.

Can't see why you would, MoM with RF and no giant mana regen would always make your mana be at 0, even with Divination Distillate up, which is why the flask works great (always full duration).

For deeper Delves for example the extra maxres will probably help you out more than the extra regen. I recommend stalking someone like Zizaran for example, you'll find most variants somewhere among his (dead) Juggs, some with PoL, some with vitality, and so on. Just the top left aura cluster would be fine for all purities iirc.
And yeah, weapon/divination distillate should be rather easy and cheap upgrades. The Leo DoT craft is what pushes weapons from 2-5c crap to "almost a great Doryanis".

Oh yeah regarding Doryani's btw. Is it a great option if you CAN afford it? Or are you trying to say there's better long term options than Doryani's that are ALSO not as expensive?
Because I could probably buy one at this point, but we'll see after I make the other changes too.

Because I could probably buy one at this point, but we'll see after I make the other changes too. Doryanis is good but definitely something you want to buy last. You can easily make do with a cheaply crafted shaped scepter which can have like 80% of the damage of a good roll doryanis as has been mentioned.
In terms of really end game best in slot I think a crafted scepter could end up being better than doryanis, but it will cost you muuuuuch more.

Guess who got lucky while crafting:

Is flask charges gained even good anymore? Feels like I am at full flasks the whole time anyway...

Imo buying Doryani's is a pretty stupid idea at this point, the main argument in favor was and is the attackspeed, not the damage.
Step1) Look at this search. Items such as this one regularly pop up in that pricerange. A shitty Doryani's with ~110-120% damage costs you ~50c. That one there has prefix open and will end up at 110-125% damage after you add Leo DoT craft - cost: 3c for the item and 5 alchs for the craft.
Step 2) Your next upgrade is probably best done by crafting a shaper base yourself. There are a LOT of good mods you can hit, even if you don't hit the "supported by elemental focus" - even crazier with Fossils.
In theory T1 fire (75%), Ele Focus (60%), Minion Damage (75%) and Damage on Full life (60%) is possible for example. If you can somehow justify the points for the minion damage node, I believe that and the damage on full life rolls are reasonably easy to hit.
Just the "more life modifiers" fossil is also a reasonable option, depending on price. Once in that area all you need to hit is e.g. the Minion Damage/Dmg on full life and one regular fire area damage roll to beat a perfect doryanis. That'd likely be in the realm of 20-30c max, plus the base obviously. Note that "damage on full life" via fossils is a suffix, which is absolutely amazing.
Step 3) After you have one type of weapon like that, that's when you go full davai crafting wise. Shaper base, alt/regal for 3 mods and then multimod for BM/dmg/attackspeed. That's the weapon that will cost you 3+ exalts most likely. If you already alt/regal'd at Step 2) instead of using Fossils (or if you got crazy lucky) you might have gotten the base for this step already.
Another option here if you're really, really rich is to keep using the fossil for damage on full life and try to annul when it hits ele focus with shitty mods, multimod from there. That's where costs aren't something I'd like to predict. =P

Just wanted to say that Delve is the best league yet, both in general and for me as a player. I did my first red map; I killed my first Elder; I think overall I've made and spent more currency than in any other league I played; and most of all after two weeks of playing 4+ hours a day I still am hyped to play and there's so many things I can't wait to do. In short: Delve is amazing!
