As for the Ascendancy, Raider is the most popular choice and a solid one. I went for Ascendant (ofc Raider here too) so I have lots of Jewels (tri/quad elemental Abyss Jewels are OP), and it's really good too. It's probably pretty HC viable too, you likely just shouldn't go crit (with Grelwood Shank it's pretty hard anyway) and invest more into Life. My Scion version gets Elemental Overload and isn't crit and it would be possible to get 210ish% Life at lvl 90, but as I play SC I prefer having less and getting more 3 point jewels. =) | ||

You can get 6k pure Life with Belly and some decent gear. MoM would also be doable (since Mana Gain on Hit is huge) but then you'd likely have to not use any aura or invest in some mana for it to work decently which I don't think is a good choice. It's not really squishy, what doesn't one hit you is usually no threat, since LGOH with hundreds of balls is nearly like old Vaal Pact. That said, some BS abyss rares (usually the spinners, but they are getting nerfed soon?) can indeed be your end. But the huge dps of Molten Strike later means that rares are barely more tanky than white mobs. For a HC build you could use Etup's build tbh, look at https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/Etup/characters and see character Burbssucklesmyballs. You can import it into Path of Building too if you got that. He doesn't use LGOH at all though and is a completely different build. | ||
