None of the new spells really interest me much to be honest. Never tend to be a huge fan of stuff that plays with corpses or summons. Edit: oh the EK stuff people have been playing more lately also looks really fuckin cool, but isn't the single target just atrocious? I know people last league were starting to get creative with pseudo-6L BF/BV in like Tempest Binding helm for example, and there was an allusion to more new pseudo-5/6L stuff in Abyss with shaped/elder stuff, but all that is $$$$$$$. Like I said maybe I'll just open with Cleave Glad ezpz just for a currency base, then decide later once the more clever people start to get their hands on some of the new stuff. | ||

On a slighlty different topic, despite perandus manor being on the unique maps challenge I really can't figure out any way to actually get it since perandus isn't on the map device and the patch notes description of the "Fortune Favours the Brave" map mod says only ones the device can grant, aka no nemesis for example (RIP HH chancing). Which should also make zerphi's abuse EXCEEDINGLY expensive this league (also rip trypanon meme builds  ) | ||

Either GGG isn't telling us something, or Sunder is gonna be just as broken as usual. I still have to play Sunder till somewhere in the range of 60-75, so I guess I'll wait till the patch drops to see what happens. | ||

And when you are rich enough to get a 6L and/or lvl 21 gem you can also do at least lvl 15 maps. | ||

Molten Strike was like 3-5mil dps, was hard to work out exact numbers with PoB but it was very insane. without good VP the build is worse but it should still be usable. Heavy strike build looks more untouched @Yango yeah I'm using sunder at least until lvl 40, and maybe more depending on weapon availability so should be easy to tell if the skill is good or not. | ||

For myself, I'll probably play Ice Shot, likely Raider. Would like to do Deadeye tripple chain for fun but it's probably not a good idea. | ||

Given that I'm still newer (so die to more mechanics and sloppiness that I'm unfamiliar with yet) and super excited to progress more this league, I'll probably start with a safe Sunder/Cleave Glad just to get into brainless mapping comfortably and then transition into something more exciting later. Ice Shot and EK nova are the two things right now that interest me most but I'm ok with working toward those later if they're more finnicky starters. I'll have plenty of energy in me to make more than one character this league. Harb was my first league (other than dabbling back in beta) and I spread my time over so many different characters just leveling and learning more about the game and all the different spells and mechanics and combinations of things (totems and mines, etc). Now I want to focus up on a smaller selection of characters and really push into content I haven't done yet. So I'm ok with a boring safe starter if it means painless progress into mapping and grinding lots of currency, since it's still fresh for me lol. | ||

Not as fast as EK but I could kill packs reasonably fast. You wear a Tabula for a very long time (because you can as the build is pretty tanky) so can afford a Inc AoE support as one of those. You only need to upkeep 10 stacks for map clearing and that is not hard. You shield charge around and mostly upkeep BV charges. | ||
