Whats wrong with bladefall against mobs? Just because of aiming? I for some reason just really dig bf as a skill

And why does Arc work as trap but feels trash "normal" against every tough enemy? Just because tons of Arc at once evens out the dmg rolls?

Are you guys playing in the 3.0 beta atm?

Waiting for official release, which I thought would of been early July, but looks like not yet huh?

I've played a couple of the new acts so far in the beta.

I don't think it'll be released until at least early August.

Firstly, Bladefall is cool with totems and selfcast, I agree. The aiming is shit with mines after they changed it, with traps it should be OK. On the second matter what you say is exactly why.

I'm playing beta, but the guild's been quiet lately, I think a lot of people are beta'd out and either racing or playing other games.

My drops and trades have been absurdly lucky in beta round 2, I'm a little sad it won't carry over.

He guys, im actually a total casual, when it comes to poe... but i might try playing it again so for a while and i just wanne have fun and slay monsters as fast as possible :D
Can anyone recommend me a Cheap, and fun build for HC for the current patch?
And with cheap, i mean so cheap that i can play through merciless with more or less just selffound gear.

SRS Necromancer. Just get Purity of Elements once you reach Merciless so you cap your resists and you are set.

For finishing Merciless almost any build will work. For HC make sure you put lots of points into life and also use zombies so they can distract enemies for you. But SRS are your main damage dealer so always make sure they are connected with most links.

This video gives a reasonable introduction to what's all the rage right now in this regard: Baron SRS specifically.

In terms of item progression (especially now that Baron surged in price) I'd recommend 3L wand -> 4L helm (both with +1 Fire/+1 Minion gems respectively) -> 4L Baron OR 5L staff -> Baron (if you didn't get one yet) -> 6L staff (via Dark Mage cards). It depends a bit on card prices what exactly is smarter and you need to assume 100-150 alts for +2 Fire Gems. It's definitely a highly enjoyable build that goes fast.

In general when you say "HC for the current patch" it needs to be said that right now is a bit of a weird spot. People never really played HC perm leagues, the HC temp league (Legacy) has been going on for a while and isn't crazy active and most of the action is in the 2 week leagues right now, people are playing around in beta for 3.0 or are waiting for the actual release.

Unless you're already invested in HCL I'd recommend the 3.0 beta, the two week is pretty competitive and market prices reflect this. That's also a way to get an idea of what the game will look like in ~2 months time, I'd look at it in SC though, especially since the balance is still a bit off in some spots.

Man you went way too technical. I suggested zombies because the guy is a casual and just wants to finish merciless. zombies are useful for a minion build from start until end of merciless. They are just not good enough for endgame (but you can still use them for mid level maps if you want)

Zombies are trash at all levels though, and it's not like srs is particularly hard to level up with. So long as you understand how to make a +1 fire wand you're laughing.

Don't agree. They are useful when you are already focusing on minions and using a minion ascendancy. You link them with minion speed and minion life and they are decent enough. Combined with Haste and using proper offering they are useful enough. Why waste time summoning decoy totems that your passives don't buff when you can be casting SRS to kill your enemies and you resummon zombies after tougher battles. Good enough for a casual player not interested in doing Shaper runs.

Not to pick on you, but a casual would probably quit after the 600th zombie he summoned trying to kill normal dominus in futility.

Yeah so hopefully some significant changes happen in the next patch, or we're gonna have path of KB Mines, GC Mines, SR/RF, SRS, Sunder, and maybe Cyclone (espec Ngamahu). Right now so many skills are awful, it's like GGG basically cut the viable end game builds down to 25% of what they were.
