What I cooked up seems decent but super expensive. Link: https://pastebin.com/E8t1eDM2 Scion (Assassin/Champion). Build revolves around Cycloning around and using Cast on Critical Strike in addition to Mjolner triggering. Shock Nova is main spell used in both combinations. Assassin gives decent base crit as well as it will help upkeep PC generation. Champion gives 20% to Fortify on Hit for a bonus defense and gives bonus damage when under Fortify buff. Defense is Acrobatics, over 5000 hp, 4 endurance charges, fortify, 31% block chance, around 30% evade and Vaal Grace when needed. And Rumi's Flask for more block chance. Now comes offense. It is more complicated as it is a combination of 3 damage sources. I know Cast when Critical gems has 500ms cooldown so it can only trigger 2x per second giving 2x per hit total dps. PoB thinks Mjolner has 0.25s cooldown, I don't know if that is right but lets assume it is. So total DPS I got is: Cyclone (37k dps) + CoC Shock Nova (ring 12k + nova 60k) x2 + Mjolner Shock Nova (ring 10k + nova 82k) x 4 which would end up as 549 000 dps .... of course that is vs 0 lightning resist enemies and counting as if they got hit by both ring and nova. I can increase this damage by using Vaal Lightning Trap to shock them (both Shock Nova are using Elemental Focus supports for more dps so I cannot shock with them). These numbers are also with Arcane Surge active (linked to Shield Charge that would be used for moving around). Character basically Shield Charges around, uses Enduring Cry and Cyclones through stuff while keeping potions up. Uses Vaal Grace and Vaal Lightning Trap vs tougher enemies. What do you think? | ||

tbh I'm not sure why you want to use shock nova. it's got good damage but in practice I think it is very painful to play. This is definitely a build you'll wand to test before spending a lot of time and money. There are other lightning spells that you could try instead if you want It doesn't make much sense to use both Acro and block. The Acro is severely hurting your block chance. I'd focus on only one of those. I'm not sure if the nodes left of Amplify (left side nodes) are really worth it. Remember that if you are spending 3 nodes to reach a power charge, that is only 50% critical chance. you're getting 16.67% crit chance per point, terrible value. Also not sure if that one extra endurance charge is helpful. Atziri's Foible is an option if you can't afford astramentis you don't have enough flask slots for immunity flasks. You could consider running this as Pathfinder or Raider if you want to use more unique flasks | ||

I chose Shock Nova as it would have similar AoE like Cyclone and I could count on steady dps. Arc and Spark are unpredictable and Storm Call needs less duration support. Discharge needs a way to produce charges constantly so I skipped that so I don't need to worry about that. I forgot Acro halves block, but I didn't focus on block, it was just a side product of using that your attacks always hit shield. I guess I got 15% block then. Still better than nothing. EDIT: OK with Rumi's active and even with Acrobatics I would still have 39% block which is still very useful when fighting tougher enemies. I am not just reaching power charge but also longer duration which makes upkeeping them easier and they last longer in boss fights. I got all the items on my standard character that I can test on, I just need Scion buffs of 3.0 to go through (both Assassin and Champion are weaker in 2.6) and of course the Cyclone buff. | ||

firestorm? question 2: If my weapon does 100 phys and 50 chaos, and i always poison and I have +100% chaos damage then is my base hit 200, and then my poison damage scales off of a hit of 150 but then is increased by 100%? | ||

at lvl 12 firestorm in a +1 wand. If full try hard, can self cast and use firestorm totem. use flame surge + conc for bosses. at lvl 28, flameblast totem. They are a little worse in 3.0 but should still be king. if you don't want to get dual totems, you can use a mixture of firestorm and flameblast, toteming one of them. bladefall totems are comparable, but require high dex and are worse at bossing. another interesting and relatively quick option is firestorm traps. I personally don't like playing with traps, but the speed is good. you will need a boss solution though. SRS is very strong as well, but you are unlikely to play this unless going summoner. OK, I tested this on my standard Assassin character. I had problems maxing resistances and spent a 5ex to buy a 6L armor and I am using underleveled Shock Nova gems (lvl 13 and 14) and only a lvl 76 character. I did mid level maps (lvl 7) with no problems. But I do have problems with tough bosses were I cannot use Vaal Grace (like Izaro). Fun build, really fun. Lacks damage from Arcane Surge and tree from Assassin is not as optimized as when using Scion and extra critical chance is not really needed. I am going to be playing this until I can level up to 85 and get gems to 19 so I can see its true damage. I will also try out Arc with it a bit later. | ||

I'm really pessimistic about 3.0 because of manifestos posted in 2.6 and balance changes that make no sense and are supposedly (based on manifestos) based delusions. (GGG Literally banned one player who cleared the game too fast after "investigation by a team - source: ggg employee email". They did unban the player later on though) I thought last league that I'm lost with builds but this league I can't even go back to my favourite build (trusty fb tots.) I hope one of new gems is powerful and fast to theorycraft so I have incentive to push ladder. Otherwise I think it's just gonna be boss killing which is cool but poe was last game where I got my competitive kicks from. | ||

im at the point where i`d rather spend 20 bucks than grind for hours upon hours for orbs and so i`d like to buy some .Where to go to get them fast? Playerauctions i know but don`t really like this site , what else do i have ? g2g ? mulefactory? odealo? Those are the 1st sites that come up on google? please help i wanna buy them now but dont know where so that im not left with no orbs and no money :D | ||
