If the purpose is to have as many shaped shore and strand possible, then can we unlock everything from t14 and up ? Or how it works is that if t14 is empty a +1 in shaped shore will default back to a t13 (which is shaped shore) ?

interesting degen zerker using new Al Dhinh claw. no gameplay footage in that vid but if you watch his stream vods it looks prty fun @vndestiny the problem with unlocking all T14s and up is that you will get crappy T14 you dont want to run that drop maps that you dont want to run. If you goal is to farm guardian and shaper then yea you'll want to unlock more. if you want to just farm then having T10-T15 being shaped map or nothing is better. also if you choose to unlock more maps, I would selectively choose maps that are fun / good cards / good drops (opal ring, steel ring, etc). for example in legacy SC I unlocked stuff like scriptorum (shav card), beacon (fun layout), Maze (good drops)

If there's no t14s then an intended t14 drop will drop as a t13. What you can do is unlock tier 15 and 16. If you're only running shaped strands and shores then these can only drop from the boss in shore. This should skew your drops to getting slightly more shaped shores. Actually getting a +2 from any boss is in my experience extremely rare. Also what Echelon Tee said. Personally, I'd go mad if I only chained strands and shores. I need some variation but nobody in their right mind wants to run stuff like excavation or necropolis. Edit: New Skill Reveal http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1921565

For boss killing though I bet facetanking will be the norm - since the farther you are away, the longer you have to hold the button before the balls are in place to explode. This skill is definitely what frostbolt/vortex (or ice nova) could've been though. Still think the game will overall be slower after the patch; lots of strong things being dialed back while bosses are getting more health. Also, one downside of the new MTX system - can't use MTX to secure your valuable gear anymore. The only reason I bought MTX in the first place was to attach to gear I didn't want to accidentally drop/delete/sell/trade. Especially back in the day of snapshotting where you were swapping out gear every time you zoned.

The problem is if you play too casually, a streamer will snipe your demi using VFB or EK Nova. you can do those builds as literally any ascendency with enough gear. I'm playing SSF for sure. Not sure if I will go hard or not. I think I have a slight ability to contest demi but most likely will die / not have enough time. I really wish they would give more demis out, would be way more motivated to try. I can't commit 12h+/day for a week. @Faeny there's no way the game will be slower as long as pathfinder and shield charge remain the same. You just have to use different skills. Sometimes not even (EK Nova). The top top clear builds (VFB, VSpark) are weakened, but there a lot of OP speed builds alive. as a side note, I've been carefully testing zone layouts in the new beta acts and for the most part they are very predictable. Nothing like A2 Vaal Ruins or A3 Sewers. Most areas are like A2 Western Forest or A3 Battlefront, where exits are in preset locations that you can head towards.

Probably regular HC or ill suck it up and try out SSF and get really upset during the race heh.

95: Slayer, Hierophant, Gladiator 96: Champion, Elementalist (!?), Saboteur, Trickster 97: Assassin, Berserker, Chieftain, Deadeye, Jugg, Pathfinder The safest bet, assuming streamers stick mostly to SSF, could be to assume a similar distribution or to assume the opposite distribution since the grinders are tired of their current class. =P I wanna do something CI so I'm not entirely sure yet. FB Totem Elementalist is the obvious option, any recommendations for strong & cheap Trickster/Assassin builds?

I wont be able to get up a demi anyways, so the class representation doesnt matter for my build choice. I dont know yet which build i will play though.

trickster - essence drain, BV into EK nova. most any CI build can work (ghost dance + frenzy charges).
