With the buffs to Righteous Fire, Flameblast, and Searing Bond, I did draw up a quick tree for a RF fire caster if I want to try hardcore. But I still am plagued with unreliable internet, so it's likely that I'll just stick to softcore for this league. | ||

personally I think shadow looks like it's probably pretty strong for softcore due to high damage I have a sneaking suspicion that the poison mechanics are gonna end up a little overpowered on release, too | ||

Oh and the jewel nerf is only a marginal nerf to Vaal Spark, it's gonna keep on doing what it does right now, it will just cost a slight bit more to get it going. Seems like the most glaring omission of the patch. | ||

1) If I apply 5 curses with Blasphemy and another guy wears Doedre's Scorn, does he gets the extra dmg? 2) Does the damage increase also apply for minions? Also, why does everyone say Flametotem got nerfed? It got slightly nerfed while leveling (even 40% less dmg won't kill it though), but at max level the damage is the same as before. In fact, at lvl 22+ it does more then before (though I guess few people use it with Empower or a +3 staff for that to matter). So yes, it is a nerf but nothing to really speak of imo... Incinerate on the other hand really got gutted. | ||

Sadly there is no way to confirm except from testing it. At least googling didn't really help me, guess not many people have tried using it. Should be a nice damage boost, but aside from that the helmet doesn't really offer anything. | ||

In fact it's a better hybrid since you can put regen and leech to work at the same time, which you can't do with traditional hybrid (ES on top of life) | ||

I mostly play casters, so I might be missing some OP attack builds. Stuff I'm confident will be OP: Vaal Spark, crit Shockwave Totem (poison variation might also be possible), Vaal Spark, SRS, support build, Cast on Crit, Vaal Spark. Stuff that's probably OP: Firestorm, Arc But really, any of the newly buffed skills excluding fire trap, tendrils and flame surge should work quite well. I'll be attempting a poison SWT build, if everything goes according to plan it's gonna be insane for tanky map bosses and/or Atziri/Rigwald. | ||
