Talisman league begins tomorrow. If you go to the official website there is a countdown to the new leagues starting.

As long as we all start summoner and you die in a ridiculous way at around level 82 I feel like everything I wanted will have been accomplished this league.

I have an Important exam on the 16th, but I like day 1 of new leagues too much not to play. After that I'll have to be responsible.

Yer I have final projects due and exams to take next week as well, but a day or so of PoE won't hurt me (too much (I hope!)).

first thing i'll do is to log on standard and just test all the gems; they should be buy-able from vendors.
- i'm thinking of an ranged attack totem build with blast rain probably; point blank, AoE, not sure about crit/RT
- righteous fire totem with 2x searing bond, scaling fire/burn/totem life and some AoE(got a little sad when they reviewed the AoE increase for RF from 60% 3 days ago to 40% yesterday)
- some form of bladefall trapper; i'm even thinking CI + Ghost reaver + some life leech on blade vortex somehow(cwdt or we)
- some melee spectres summoner

Do traps even leech damage for you? I thought that doesn't work. RF totem might be OK, though I have doubts it's good. Ranged attack totem can probably work, but I have doubts that the damage will be enjoyable without crit.

i know traps don't leech(or they leech but to themselves). http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Blade_Vortex will be on me (cwdt) linked to a life leech support+spell echo maybe. it scales the same as bladefall - aoe/phys.
Edit: i don't do HC since i have no time for it
Edit1: blade vortex would work better for a mine build since you're in melee range most of the time. hmm

Anybody know if that new "Rapid Decay" support works with searing bond and/or righteous fire?

i remember a GGG staff saying it doesn't work with RF because it doesn't have the duration tag.
it should work for searing imo.

Servers being taken down in about 25 mins I think, at which time you will be able to patch the game. Patch is ~1.5gb.

patched 10min ago but servers are down. you get the same countdown as the one on the main site.
- reave CoC blade vortex, with the suckwave gloves; you suck 'em in with reave into your blades!

Think I'll do SWT with something like this www.pathofexile.com and use poison (thx for suggestion Alurr~). I'm assuming just scaling the phys dmg and crit as much as you can is the highest dps increase from poison? Or are things like incr duration, DoT, and chaos dmg more important for crit SWT -> poison? halp!

I assume we need to have a name ready?  Well, not like I'm gonna race anyways... Just thought that maybe the servers go up earlier so we can create a char 30 min before the league starts, like with races. But then I realized there is also scrubcore and hardcore, so probably not.
That would also reduce the server problems probably... I'm kinda sure there'll be a 2 min queue or longer or some connection problems or w/e.

Yeah I don't really race either, but it is just fun to get in and play as soon as it releases . I just throw tons of underscores everywhere if the name I wan't doesn't work!
