I never really used curse on hit herald of thunder much, I know a lot of people did it tho but so my question is, it's the actual lightning bolts that curse right? and that effect requires killing shocked enemies will I actually be doing enough lightning damage off of just the herald of thunder to be shocking long enough(or at all) to get the lightning effect? It's a damn cool idea though, though it does require mana reservation nodes on the tree to do it mmm... would herald of ice curse on hit be better? I'd definitely be shattering dudes all over if I am using hatred. | ||

But otherwise hatred + HoI will be more reliable for you. If you wanna go crazy with it you could also run HoL - Culling - Innervate for dat onslaught. | ||

Maybe I could run wrath instead of hatred, thus avoiding having to use phys to lightning? mmmm i guess phys to lightning would be better but if I do that, then I need to drop a support on my cyclone, I guess I would drop faster attacks rather than crit damage or crit chance This might be a sign that GGG is doing a good job when I can't figure out what supports to drop or keep anymore | ||

I'd say the best set up for your gems would be cyclone - bm - fortify - melee phys with fa and crit damage as your 5th and 6th links, whichever is more damage in the 5 link. Use HoI to curse and if you feel you aren't getting enough leech from warlords get some leech on gear or life gain on hit with jewels. | ||

An unrelated question: Does anyone know if generic "% increased damage" modifiers (such as hidden potential) double dip for hits that cause poison, in the same way "% increased fire damage" does for fire hit's that cause ignite? | ||
