The TE-S editions should work (Chun li TE) no matter what, and the 360 TE's will work.
The TvC stick is an SE so you guys might want to get the sanwa buttons and JLF stick if you want to have some serious TE quality stick. So what the same controller as I mentioned but for 360 will 100% work for pc? Because if its the 360 / ps3 version really dont matter to me
360 stuff will work on PC fine
PS3 stuff will SOMETIMES not work on PC. If you're just looking for a PC controlelr just get a 360 one, not PS3, to be safe.

just playing some offline verses just to get used to it. its pretty fun
Edit: if anyone has it for xbox and wants to play a bad player and help him add me Enders98
Don't use ryu, use akuma ken or sakura, ryu is probably the worst shoto now.

Both the Round 2 and HRAP v3 can potentially have the chipset issue if you're using a PS3 stick.

How meaningful are the ranks?
I just hit C rank with Ibuki, but I still feel like I'm playing terrible. I guess until your A or something they don't really mean anything?

C rank is easy to get because it's only 1000 BP, and up until that point you don't lose any BP for losing. At C rank (1000-5000 BP) you only lose very little compared to what you win (win about 30 points, lose about 10). Only once you hit B rank (5000-15000?) do you actually start losing as many points as you win.

oh, ok, didn't notice it was directly linked to the BP, thought it was like sc2 ladder style or something
still terrible, back to playing more!

Been watching Marn's stream all day, and Bananaken has been playing like 80% Sakura. The tatsu pressure she can put on is unreal, how do you generally stop her?

i just got this game for the pc. im such a noobie when it comes to fighting games. if you wanna play with me or teach me some how to play pm me!
its really fun so far albeit frustrating. i highly recommend it.

Is there a difference in frame rates or something between sf4 and ssf4ae? Because I'm having a hard time landing even s.hp xx rekkas... And also, there is no challenge mode for Oni and a few other characters too?

You will understand when you will hit the B rank, then a lot of win will give you 1 BP and a loose will still take you 30 BP

Would love to play with you metaphor but I think the us-aus latency wouldn't be too friendly with fighting games : ( any Australian players, especially newbies - add my gamer tag "currehzor"
Been having a good time playing, but having a lot of trouble trying to do the cancel combo's with sakura, even when in training mode under no pressure I have trouble doing them, I think I press things too fast on my keyboard >_< stuck in the Starcraft attitude of trying to be faster and faster I guess haha. Just thinks like a l.mk xx ex.tatsu or a c.hp xx ex.tatsu, I have trouble making them cancel into eachother and flow together

You can look up the frame data on wiki's online. Some frame data was changed but the frame RATE of the game is unchanged at 60 fps.

Will definitely add you, be nice to play with another Australian ^^
Also does anyone know if you can set it to search from a specific region? My live account is set as American for who knows why and apparently you can't change it, hoping not to have to buy the game again to be able to play ok online?

She can be outfootsied pretty easily. You can't punish LK or EX tatsus with anything (which is generally all you'll ever see) so basically you just have to know her frame data and what is punishable. Don't jump in on her. Pressure her when she's down because she's pretty susceptible to vortexes (just be sure to use safejumps when she has ultra 2 stocked because that beats almost all crossups).

On xbox, you have to change the console's region under system settings. Afterwards, I was able to play people in Japan while I was in china (most Japanese players aren't that good lol). I did try to play a Japanese guy from the us, and needless to say, the lag was terrible

i own a regular 360 pad. should i be using that or my keyboard. i dont think it really matters at this point because i cant execute a combo any way at my current skill level.

Lol I just finished watching King of Chinatown, was pretty funny. And thanks for the tips Excalibur. I don't run into TOO many sakuras but every time I watch a good sakura play they do the normal>tatsu>normal>tatsu non stop and all i ever see people do is just hold down back and hope that theres a small window to get out.

You can try your Xbox pad but personally I'd highly recommend using the keyboard. Playing SF4 with an analog stick is quite hard imho and the d-pad on that thing is trash.
Thing you should probably do is remap the hotkeys on your keyboard. I followed Zlasher tip a few pages back and went with
a,s,d and space for left, down, right, jump and the kicks and punches on the num-block 4,5,6 for the kicks (light, mid, hard) and 7,8,9 for the punches
it takes some time getting used to, but it's really nice once you get the hang of it

On my TE if I have the stick mode to emulate one of the Joysticks instead of the D-Pad it wont work on my computer. Do you have a dip switch for that?
