It's part of the reason I play Honda lol. Nothing is more fun than landing Ochio > cancel a Sumo Stomp on his wakeup into another Ochio ![]() Edit: This video was a big inspiration: The game in question starts at 15:10. Win a game with only Ochios?

Blanka, charge and ball people to death oni, air demon and instant ex crossup moves ^true words of wisdom Seriously, I beat Yuns with my eyes closed. Like, I haven't even seen the Yun victory cinematic yet. All I need to do is spin my stick or press my lariat button after Yun does a move. Not really, but you get the point (the "haven't lost to yun/yang" part is true )I'd say 80% of my damage dealt comes from spds, ultras, and lariat. Also, Sagat, fireball+kick gg Seth, confuse people to death Throw cinematics aren't annoying (if you are on the right end ) Nothing is better than in late round in which both players are down to the last fifth of health, and then you land that heavy spd after a whiffed standing roundhouse (one of giefs great breaking-in tools). I always shout "Ohhhhhh Yeaaahhhhhh" as my opponent is smashed and proceeds to feed me his points. What I think is more range inducing about command grabs is their absurd range. You're like "WTF is the game broken, gief grabbed me from half screen while I was doing a dp"

Yangs DP is better than Yuns Yuns divekicks are faster than Yangs I believe Yuns U1 and Yangs U1 is basically equal in terms of hitbox/AA ability and shit the difference is, Yun has shoulders and lunge to get in a hell of a lot better than rekkas. Plus the shoulders and lunge have sick juggle properties, way better than rekkas. Yun can burn meter on more juggles whereas Yang's meter is used for fadc'ing the rekkas. Yuns Genei Jin is better than Yangs Sei Enbu, easier to execute the combo, has much more styling options and more damaging. Theres just more reasons to like Yun in my opinion, since teleport is a waste of a fucking move for Yang. And to 101toss, when I play gief, my damage is ex greenhand, light SPD, ultra if I get it off, standing jab and crouching roundhouse. Those are literally teh only moves i will do lol. Lariat is too punishable by everything, its only good if someones stupid enough to jump in on zangief

Yuneed to learn to play Also, lariat is easy to combo (usually link it by doing meaty bodyslam->c.lk XX lariat), really easy to do (push 1 button lol), has a shitload of priority (even stuffs some ultras, traded hits usually are in favor of gief), and is usually punished w/ sweep or some c.mk combo, neither of which do much damage to gief. And yes, a lot of opponents do jump against gief to minimize the threat of spds, and the lariat is the way to punish jumpers.

Why you not use (more)? Also, cr.lp and cr.lk for combos and ticks, and cr.mk whiff into SPD, s.hk for anti-jump/poking/whiff SPD.

Anyways still not sure why rwrzr would suggest fei or the twins as fun characters to mess around with. Fei is filled with ridiculous 1 frame links and has very little safe chip, his combos are very difficult to execute, and you can't juggle into a full super or ultra. Stop passive aggressively pretending that Fei is an easy character to use just because he's "top tier" which is a stretch to begin with. Same with Yang and Yun, you play them and then you realize that someone spamming jab on turbo actually beats out almost all your hitboxs with a trade at least, and against smarter players who will dp your moves on reaction you're fucked.

Fei is....... really really good though???? He's just a really safe character. His pokes are extremely good (s.hk and c.hp go very far, c.mp is pretty fast with really good range). Cl.hk rules as an antiair and so does flamekick of course. He can DP while doing a blocking input. His rekkas go really far and the first hit is safe on block (second for EX) which means you can just throw it out there and still gain positioning, and it's hit confirmable into the rest of the rekka chain. His basic rekka combo (c.lk cl.lp c.lp xx rekkas) is also a 3 frame link iirc? I think only the chickenwing s.hp xx rekka combo is a 1-frame, you can substitute a c.lp xx rekka for slightly less damage and make it a 2-frame link if you're bad at plinking.

I've found two occasions where I try to anti-air with Ex Headbutt (which is supposed to be my all purpose anti-air, right?) and get stuffed CLEAN by a jump in. So far the two I can't beat are Dudley's and Cody's drop elbows (I think it's their jumping Fierce, but I'm not sure). And considering the properties (hit box extends way down, hurt box is still high up), I'm pretty sure Balrog's would be able to do the same thing. I thought Ex Headbutt was my get out of jail free card? Am I just mis-timing it? You need to do it pretty late, as late as possible really. It has 8 frames of startup invincibility so you should be able to connect with it as they're approaching Honda's head elevation. If you do it too early it will get stuffed like you described (because no invincibility after the 8th frame and those moves have hitboxes which extend beyond the hurtboxes).

However, i will say that the 2 jump-ins you listed have the most absolutely absurd hitboxes. They absolutely stuff Balrog's Cr.Fierce and stuff any other air to air normals. edit: Also for the life of my i can't seem to get a lag free game online. My 360 has perfectly fine connection off the same line and my computer hit the 150fps range on the benchmark and it was said to be good. But every game i ply just turns to shit. I heard if the opponents have their frame rate options weird it can affect the game.

Make sure that you are hosting all your lobbies (joining a Fixed lobby forces Fixed for everyone who joins) 3. Make sure that you have VSync turned off (this causes input lag even offline and it's extremely noticeable, test it in training mode).
