This might just pop off as pretty random coming into this thread, but I've been having my eyes on this game for quite a while, and have not been playing any fighting game since Tekken 3 basically. I own a PS3 and ofc PC..

Which system would people recommend me buying for?

PC, assuming your PC is capable of handling it. Requirements aren't too high. If you can run SC2 on High settings you should be able to run AE at max settings.

Aight, cool. What reason if I may ask? Worse people playing over PS3? Controller?

PSN generally is considered to have a pretty low-quality network, but I've only heard anecdotal evidence from friends who have both PS3 and 360. People say PC has better connections than XBL too, so if you look at it from that standpoint, it's a two tier upgrade :>

Personally I also like having the ability to Fraps and upload videos, like this one today I played against Marn's Viper.

Again some irritating mistakes, but he made some too so it's okay. Marn was on the mic too so it was cool how he called some of my moves sick haha.

EDIT: Apparently he was streaming while this match was being played too :O

For anyone considering getting a FightStick for his PC, this might be an alternative:

There are MadCatz Fightsticks for the Tatsunoko vs Capcom on the Wii at amazon for a relatively low price (22£). From what I can see they are no different from the standard SF4 Fightsticks by MadCatz. (correct me if i'm wrong please)

If you couple that with the MayFlash "Wii Classic Controller to PC USB Adapter" (around 10-15€ i think) it should work on your PC no problem according to this video:

With that your most likely still well under the price of the standart SF4 fightsticks from what I can tell.

again, correct me if i'm wrong here, i don't want people to buy shit that doesn't work for them in the end since personally i haven't tested it yet, but i might do so next week

Totally forgot to post that when i saw that the tvc sticks are available again.
That stick is actually better than the sf4 se. The joystick and buttons are good sanwa knock-offs.
There should be a a post on srk that compares them to original sanwas (the springs of the buttons & joystick are abit longer -> stiffer). Its possible to replace the microswitches of the buttons with sanwa ones (sw-68, ~1€). The joystick spring is also replaceable wit a jlf one.

Do you have any idea whether or not there is an input lag? I've read somewhere that most of the adapters have some kind of delay where you press a button and it gets recognized much later than it should. Couldn't finde more informations on this topic though.

Yeah.
I've got a TE and no need for a second one. I might order one because there so cheap. :O

/edit: gameseek has them for £15.20 + shipping.
There should be some info on that adapter on srk. As fair as i remember that adapter is good, and ps3 compatible (not 100%, i think 2 buttons+home isnt working or something like that).

it's working if u got a VIA chispet , or else it doesn't , so you buy a new stick or you find a PCB with the dual platform , and you change the PCB in your stick. then it will be working on PS3 , 360 and PC

Yeah I think it works with PC; correct me if I'm wrong. Its a pretty great stick, it uses Sanwa parts which are used in Japanese Arcades and most top players use it.

It's been stated in the past, the stick works sometimes, it depends on your computers chipset but there really isn't much way of knowing without trying it out. The TE-S editions should work (Chun li TE) no matter what, and the 360 TE's will work.

The TvC stick is an SE so you guys might want to get the sanwa buttons and JLF stick if you want to have some serious TE quality stick.

If you get a USB PCI card with VIA chip the PS3 TE stick will work. Something like this...

I'm actually planning on trying this cuz I want to play this game on PC and I already have a PS3 stick.

Can anyone comment on quality of TE round 2 vs hrap v3 sa? I'd be using it on PC and PS3, so obviously if one of them doesn't have those random issues with usb chipsets that would be a big factor, otherwise just overall quality of the sticks are the main thing.

The Xbox one should work no problem since they have USB and the Xbox360 Pads work without any problems too
