I feel like I'm the problem. I have good internet connection with optic fiber but somehow everyone is 1 or 2 bars vs me even when they live nearby

I use the Razer Atrox, not a brand typically known for excellence but their fightstick is pretty much one of the best out there. I'll recommend it, although you could probably get away cheaper with a MadCatz fightstick pro which is more in the area of $120. I sadly didn't enjoy her as much as I thought I'd do. And Elena... well let's say it would be bad for my heart to main her in her current state. It was such a relief to go back to Ryu after spending yesterday and today trying them out. I had this junkie reaction, "Ah yeah, that's the stuff".

So after looking at which fight sticks to buy, I came across this thing called a hitbox. Being a vim user, I was like oh crap this is what I should buy! Then I thought, can't I just map my keyboard inputs to get a similar feel? Has anyone tried this??

Supposedly those have much better netcode, something to do with not polling for fight requests I havnt tried with private lobbys, but ive played many endless battles and can say that when the lobby fills up and you stop getting pinged from people searching, the lag is the same as the GFWL version. So i assume private lobbies are unaffected by whats causing the lag. One thing i have noticed is that the first round of the first fight has the most lag then after that it clears up, at least in my experience.

This tier list is probably accurate (because it is posted whenever anyone asks). I have the MadCatz Fightstick Pro (A Tier) and I can't really envision how a stick can possibly be better in terms of quality. I've only owned this stick, but I've had it for awhile now and I handle it pretty rough but it still feels like it just came out of the box. The general consensus seems to be that you won't come away with a good stick for cheap. Be prepared to put down over 100 dollars for a good stick. Mine costs 130$ currently, but MadCatz have these specials quite often during big tournaments and such, so you can get it much cheaper.

I've owned: Hori HRAP2 (ps2 games) Hori HRAP3 Madcatz TE Round 2 Qanba Q4Black So far the Qanba is my favorite. Q4Black is hard to find atm, but the other ones are probably all legit too. Roommate has a Q2 Pro I think its called and that one is ballin too (and only cost $145 with swapped out buttons & balltop at the arcade shock booth! Doubt you'll get that deal online tho. Go to tournaments! xD)
